If we are not allowed to "name and shame" here on the forums (if we do we get pictures removed), is it okay to post on other sites ? I for one think it is fair that we get full details of beggers and guild storage raids.
About thr rules and guidelines.
If you can't do it here, for good reason, and you take it to another site to do it...you're a ****.
I agree with the porcivore.
The "naming and shaming" rule spares gobs and gobs of workload policing against defamation campaigns, so all that bother can instead go to more efficient investigation of reports through the proper channels provided to us, which I imagine provide lots of handy time-saving features like timestamps and pointers to relevant chat logs. Guild Storage raids are frustrating, but I don't think the solution is to compound the burden of protecting us from defamation by requiring an investigation into each new case brought up on the forums.
I'm guessing ToS violations result in IP-bans? It's not something I'm eager to test, or really care about enough to look into. :D I'm in a guild where we put bigger things in higher-rank storage, only accessible to players who've earned trust and reputation worth more than what they could abscond with, and the system works well enough. We had a learning period shortly after Guild Storage was introduced, but now aspiring criminal masterminds are more mild annoyance than anything else. The only emotion I can feel toward guild marauders is sadness that some one's existence is so empty that spending dozens of hours schmoozing one's way into a guild to steal toys in a video game (that's gonna result in banning shortly) even occurs as a conceivable way to spend recreational time. After I saw that happen, when my brain had fully assimilated what I had just witnessed, part of me wanted to reach through the tubes of the internet and hug the poor wretch. (Most of the rest was just glad since that time investment prolly came from the same pool as youtube comments and stalking poor net-illiterate schmucks.)
u can post wherever u want, just 2 things
- every host has their own rules
- dont post content or links, that the host doesnt want on their server/site
Well, GMs have no control (or knowledge) of a random outside forum.
The alledged scammer could fill a harassment complaint if he finds out tho.
