When's some new endgame content coming?

As nervous as I am about the upcoming updates, I have a really pressing question that's probably been asked a hundred times over:
Where's ANY new endgame content?

OOO has been very active buffing up the first act of the game, refining it with new missions, NPCs, and the like. They've also been busy giving the players new tools to approach the rest of the game with. Dash n' Bash, the upcoming Battle Sprites, and now the entire restructuring of the Energy system. It all looks really interesting.
But where's the new playable content? There's been nothing to really dive into with all these new tools, nothing to really push the limits of the Knights' new abilities, and nothing really to do once Vana's been stomped all over. There's Shadow Lairs, but a lot of players don't deem them worth the effort since they don't offer much in exchange for the huge price of admission. It's pretty much been the same content for a while, just we have new tools to tear it up with.
What's a Vanguard supposed to do these days to keep themselves engaged in this game? Play Lockdown all day? Danger Missions every now and then? Play Fashion Knights?

Can OOO start to focus on the endgame now that they've practically dabbled with every other part of the game? If all these new players that OOO hopes to rope in realize that there is honestly not much to look forward to aside from play dress up at endgame, they won't stick around. It's been too long since the endgame has even been touched that I wouldn't blame them for not wanting to stay.

Every other MMO I've played has given equal attention to the endgame as the rest of it, so why can't OOO do the same to SK?

nick said that after the update there will be a challenge for the masters of battle spriting. also, you can now try to farm vana on elite, and after that elite mote will be changed adding something else (nick said it).

I know about the upcoming elite mode, but it's more of playing the same content again with something slightly different (in this case more monster health and damage). It's nothing "new" and doesn't really add anything to the game. It just seems like it's there to tide over the older players who've run out of things to do waiting for something new to play.

I want to be able to come back to this game and have something to work towards that isn't another armor set or weapon. I want an progression to the story. I want to fight the members of the Crimson Order. I want to face King Tinkinzar. I want to battle the Swarm and understand what it is. I want to see the Core and the ending of this part of the Knights' story before this game inevitably has to shut down in the far flung future.
It doesn't matter if it's challenging or difficult. It's something new and it progresses the game. Ties up loose ends and brings us closer to an end of an arc of the story, a story that could always get bigger, but at least it's going somewhere.

my 2 cents

Where's ANY new endgame content?

Battle sprites can level up to 100.

You can get multiple Sprite

It will take you more time to up your Sprite to 100 than to get 45,000 prestige.

Put that in perspective

Grinding + power leveling = endgame content. How silly of us all to forget that!

4 years from now

there will be a few more mission and npc releases and haven expansions

mission 12 and 14 will have new bosses with tokens exchangable for prerequesites to open the core at the new npc

once entered, the prerequesites will disappear and the outer space is to be developed as soon as all knights together have retrieved almost enough special items to start up the ship

note: this is a fanfic...of some sort
