Maybe it's too late for discussing a suggestion, but I was thinking of Sprites causing varieties of STATUSES. Maybe something like a module that sticks into the code of the current Harness, not changing the damage itself, but only the chance of statuses the Sprite causes. It's like a mod for the specific Harness, like a Fire Mod. into a Iron Harness.
There is 7 known statuses, however, in this case we'll exclude Sleep (Too absurd, and maybe Curse for it's over power). Either each statuses change the visual art of the sprite, or just kinda mess with the skills of the sprite. Each Sprite excludes 2 (3?) of statuses that doesn't match their ways or appearances, for example, the Drakon only accepts the statuses of Fire, Stun, Poison, or Shock (I may added some flaws in the list...) and excludes Freeze and Curse. However, you MAY NOT add 2 same statuses onto other harnesses. It's like trying to add a Fire Mod. onto a Crystal Harness when you already have a fire mod on a Iron Harness. Mods maybe come as a rare loot in the Clockworks, or just crafted like any other item.
This all may sounds too overwhelming for OOOs, but this is just a minor suggestion for the upcoming things.
I doubt this will happen. Nick already made it clear when I suggested adding stun to one of Sera's abilities that they are more interested in designing sprites to support particular play styles rather than covering each of the available statuses in sprites' attacks. Also, with Mask already having poison, and Drak having fire (with the option for adding stun in an ultimate), being able to stack an additional status with your harness would quickly get too OP.
