They were 8200 this morning, high but stable, and now they're at 7900 and declining.

Is this the time to cash in on our CE and get crowns?

Hmm.

Think.
no energy costs=infinite crown farming=ce prices rocket (unless OOO starts pouring ce into the market)

Or buy trinket slots. LD people will pay for them.

Don't know why people are

Don't know why people are investing in CE. You should invest in stuff that can't be bought with crowns or CE, such as UV'd equipment or promotional gear. These items will increase exponentially as the value of the crown drops

CE will take a nose dive and

CE will take a nose dive and guild treasuries probably will too. Defaults will probably be on the increase and with no way to sell ce as a bail out, many may fail. Remember we got bound orbs for our unbound ce we paid cash for. AH prices will most likely shoot through the roof. Alts are shanked and won't be making donations for guild hall upkeep anymore. Guild membership will fall. The gh crown sinks along with the many others will be too much for non-alt players to bear. Spirialians everywhere will be running around in their underwear, homeless because most of the few guilds that are left are either looking for new members to demand they payoff the guilds default or the elite guilds will be full and not accepting new (poverty bound) members.

That ce, taking a nose dive, they promised us an equivalent in orbs so we didn't go to our credit card companies asking for charge backs on the ce we purchased. CE was used for far more than just crafting. Those of us done crafting have no use for bound orbs at all. I think this site and OOO are about to nose dive.

The way I see it, the fact that you can play as long as you want now without limitations will now support guildhalls. I'm not sure how much an alt could have supported a guild as well. And as for "done crafting", the point of this update was to allow endgame players and newbies the chance to try out all new sorts of gear. Unless you have every single 5* piece, you're not done crafting. Alchemy Orbs, which can be found (quite easily) in the >now free< Clockworks effectively makes crafting free. Instead of complaining that you don't have any use for bound orbs you can go on out and try playing with gear you've never used before.

First off, yes just about

First off, yes just about every piece and crafted to 5*. I was collecting every item and was regularly buying ce and elevator passes to do so. But in reality, how many 5* sets of elemental, shadow and piercing armor do I need anyway. I have very little interest in continuing collecting under a new system. With the elevator pass, grinding was still limited. You can only do it so long everyday. People who never used the ep will soon find that out. No elevator costs doesn't mean forever on a run. People aren't just going to grind 24/7 indefinably. With that in mind...

You do the math. 1 account has 3 characters. Do you know the maximum of accounts per computer we are allowed to have, plus the ones from steam?
Okay so 12 easy to obtain alts, one of which is the main. Do you really believe 1 main will grind to make up for the other 11 gone? Okay, not everyone is using maximum alts. Let's cut that 11 by more than half. 1 person running for 5. Ya, right.

Look you just can't allow alts, claim all are are super rich because of those alts, make tons of crn sinks to remove the riches from the alt users then shank the alts without shanking the crns sinks and expect a healthy economy.

Crafting Alts can produce upwards of 12k a week for just a couple minutes of gametime each day, which is enough for a 1F Wing. 3 Alts and your fully 1F Guildhall gets a new piece of free furniture each week or two.

That's silly. All characters on the one account share mist.

Great to hear about your

Great to hear about your gear! I've always wanted to craft more 5* gear but being f2p limited that. Now that I can craft for free I'm definitely going to try and collect gear.

And as with the alts, most people honestly don't use them. I had 3 alts that were hardly ever touched, and when they were they were to either troll people or make a few crowns (which I then used for myself, not for the guildhall). Supporting the GH with alts sounds like nonsense unless you're in a mega-guild (Jempire, Impervious, etc). Most small guilds with less than 50 members should benefit from this. I should know, mine definitely has. Our treasury has 75k cr (most we've ever had) in it right now because almost every time a member logs in, they make enough to spare a little. In just a day I believe assorted members donated around 15k. Like I said, unless your guild is full of strictly endgame FSC grinders that all have a million alts, it should benefit.

It's good that no elevator fees doesn't mean forever on a run for newbies, because they'll be able to increase in their skills and will learn how to keep themselves alive on their journey to endgame content.

It all comes down to this: OOO wants teamwork, not dragging 3 alts through FSC a few times a day by yourself. Alts provided a small, elite group an upper hand at paying for anything, and not just themselves (as you've demonstrated). Now every player is equal: No alts, no passes, and no fees. This encourages the entire community to play. Taking a look at my freinds list right now, I have 35 people online, and 29 of them are down in the Clockworks! That's awesome to see. ^-^

@Hex:
Most people would use those earnings for themselves, though. I would, at least, unless my guildhall needed the upkeep paid ASAP.

My 100 CE

I feel that the current deflation of the cr/CE exchange rate is a result of speculation. (I'm told that elevator costs were a major factor in the exchange rate before, but I'm betting that was something of a placebo.) As the dedicated Wall Street types begin to exploit the potential of infinite FSC Elite runs, crowns and rare drops will pour into the economy, leading to inflation across the board. I could be wrong, and Three Rings will probably introduce a major crown sink if things get out of hand, but my (non-professional, non-scientific) advice is to take advantage now regardless of what happens in the future.
