How is shadow cloak useful? The cooldown is too long and you can only dish out one surprise hit. All other skills however, seem pretty nice.

Poison
I chose mask cuz I don't like healing (myself or the enemy). Though I still wish we could drop health capsules.
Wonder what Hexing haze is going to be like?

at defeat
The cloack becomes more useful when you unlock the ultimate powers and when you have out enduring night and focus. It is good for sneaking to a turret or a healer. It is also good for a getaway.

Because MASKS, BABY
I chose maskeraith mostly because after trying the other 2 in the little preview missions the little guy just clicked better with me, playstyle-wise.
... seraphynx looks cool but was really disappointingly weak (seriously, heart attack never dropped a single heart for me, and I did mark and kill the targets right) and drakon was ok but nothing really interesting :v

It's chubby. The poison quills ability is great at bosses, namely RJP, to stop menders. In very hectic gun puppy danger rooms, the cloak can be a life-saver. Hexing Haze is also a great way to deal massive AoE damage, and who doesn't love statuses? :D

The Maskeraith actually has
The Maskeraith actually has the fastest cooling ability of all the third tier sprite abilities. It has a base cooldown of 40 seconds, but the cloak itself lasts 16 seconds. Using the full cloak means you only have to wait another 24 seconds before you can use it again, effectively rendering you invisible 40% of the time.
Compare this to the Seraphynx, the third tier ability of which only lasts 8 seconds (I think it was). That results in a cooldown of 32 seconds, meaning you're only protected 20% of the time.

I <3 my creepy little bugger
I chose mine for 2 reasons:
1) He fits well with my weapons. I use the DVS allot so his quills will be used and I love poison.
2) He goes well with my armor sets. Currently almost all of mine work well with the litte creep :)

Artorias? Chose him because I wanted too. Didn't regret it either (bonus damage, poison...)
That's actually not a bad name for my Sprite.
Back on topic, I choose him/her/it for two reasons: for being a hipster, and the skills sounded like they would be useful. But if I wanted to be a hipster, probably should have choose drakon. Funny how that works out.
