The value of Fire Crystals and Alchemy Orbs

I'm very much happy with the gear I own, with that said, what am I to do with the rarities I got from the SK system? The influx of rarities I'm getting from playing Elite is great, but they have very little application if I have everything I want from the game. They're just accumulating because they're bound to me with no intended use. I understand there would be some sort of inflation if they were tradable and unbound, but if I have no interest in them, it would be nice to be able to sell them off to an NPC for a reasonable exchange, specifically Fire Crystals and to a lesser extent Orbs of Alchemy. Should I just deal with this and start up a project that I don't very much care about or is there is something to come where I can exchange rarities I'm not interested in? And is this feeling similar to any other endgame players?

P.S Sorry I didn't mention it in the official update discussion thread instead.

Craft something new. Thats why you're being given these things.

@Fhezor

I know that, but I'd like the option of not having to use them, and I at least want some sort of benefit of disposing of them. Giving me all this and only having one beneficial option to do with it is just silly. (So is your thread) WHO SAID THAT??. Anyway, being obligated to craft in this scenario is like saying: Take this free car, you can't throw it out or give it away though, despite of the fact you already own several varieties of cars, all of which you're satisfied with.
If I want to throw it out, I think that should be at my discretion, plus I know I can easily get most of them back if I have regrets. It's not a big deal, I'll just craft something I'll probably never use.

Or...

Maybe you could craft something and then sell what you craft. Seems like a logical choice. Unless you just refuse to heat anything.

Drops rarities come bound,

Drops rarities come bound, only unbound stuff comes from the supply depot. You can test it by buying the cheapest bundle of orbs for 10 energy - they will create a separate stack from the bound ones.

Ah, thanks, I just checked. I assumed it had the same bugged behavior as some bound/unbound crests we were given for the missions.

What I want to know is, what

What I want to know is, what the heck do I do with the pile of 0* and 1* consumables I have from completed missions? It's not like I can use them for anything. You can't sell 0* items, and 1* items are dirt cheap.

Warp-Master: you talking

Warp-Master: you talking about materials or actual items like weapons and gear? If the latter, I just vendor them. Can't do anything with them otherwise.

@Shrinkhootr

I'm talking about the Orbs and Crystals I got for completing missions before the update.

I don't know if you can

I don't know if you can vendor them or if it's worth it, but the only thing you can use them for are to craft and heat low level gear. If you want to make a new sword or you find a low level item with great UVs, you're gonna want to hang onto them. If you think you're never going to craft another thing from the bottom up ever again, try to vendor them. Outside of that, as far as I know, nothing.

@Gorgotron I don't want to go

@Gorgotron
I don't want to go through the hassle of unbinding something I crafted somewhat effortlessly, or even worse, if I actually did put in effort. There is an inevitable sense of deficit, and majority of items aren't worth unbinding because vendoring high tier equipment/gear is pointless unless they have high demand or a strong UV.

@Warp-Master
The point is that you can't vendor the new Rarity items whatsoever unless they are purchased through the supply depot, having the ones handed to me hanging about is useless, especially Low level Fire crystals. At the least, I'd like to sell it to an NPC of small lump of Crowns.
