Hello fellow Knights/Ponies/Mortals/Whatevers, I'm Hadesrebellion.
You might already know this and you're about to comment something, before doing that please read; some people still don't know:
Due to the patch and the fact that I'm a nice person [?], I recently bought a True Love Locket for 12kCE, foolishly thinking I got a great deal, yeah; Moronic right?
Due to the recent patch with new 'Elite' difficulty rare drops are no longer rare. This means you have a solid chance of encountering a Love Puppy and it yields a great chance of dropping the used to be rare TLLs. This also implies to Impostocubes are their rare Prismatic Toupees and Dapper Combos [I've never heard of it before, thought all they gave was a gold coin].
I don't know if OOO will take action against this or not, I don't care. But in the future I'm pretty sure prices of these 3 particular items will deflate dramatically. TLLs might even drop to a price below actual Pentas, think it this way: Mass farm JK mission, encounter Impostocube, 3 alternate accounts hit in -> High chance to get 4 Prismatic Toupees/Dapper Combos. The same logic implies to TLLs too. Hopefully this won't work and I have something else to do than playing SK all day and won't bother testing this out.
For the ones trying to sell these for a high price:
Yeah, good work. Some stupid morons like me might fall into this trap but hopefully people are able to spread the message and nothing similar happens again.
For people who bought this:
Don't get sad or rage, it's your fault just like it's mine. I’ve learnt the lesson already, next time IF something similar happens I'll check with the nice people first to see what the heck is actually going on. Why are rare drops everywhere and at such a low price?
Now are my thoughts on this patch:
I'm generally a hater and like to hate on anything despite the fact even if I like it, however this patch is just awesome! I love it, no hating is needed, OOO you did a great job this time!
I like the idea of removing elevator costs and adding in difficulties, this provides more challenges for end-game players (I'm in this situation too). I just tried out danger mission Ghosts in the Machine on elite and it was just insane, it made a danger mission actually dangerous. Normally I solo this mission with a Swifty Shield and spam Combuster charges around for fun wiping out every miserable creature/AI in my way. This tactic still works but it is just way more dangerous to play 'brainlessly'. I got killed once on the first depth because I thought nothing could stop my Combuster and its straight line of shield bumping and knockback. I got killed by a Retrode right away when I thought I could charge my way through and killing it. Overall I died 2 times, both were free revives. The second time was due to our team’s bad timing, 2 other of my friends died and I fell too. Silly Bombies roaming around getting me cornered.
I would imagine how I will end up getting tortured by swamps of HP tanks if I decided to solo it as I usually do to prevent loss of drops. There is now no reason to not join a party (besides wanting to challenge yourself).
I don't really know about the alchemy as it doesn't affect me, I got everything I wanted already. I have all weapons (including Scissors) and some nice shields along with gear for general purposes and other costume sets already. I haven't tried the alchemy mechanic yet so I'll preserve/neglect this part. It is a cool idea to remove mist, abusing alternate accounts for sake of mass-crafting will no longer be a viable source of income.
Now for the Spiralmons, they are just awesome, they are incredible, they are gorgeous! I love them. I decided to go with Maskeraith because poison is my favourite status in this game and he looks... cute.
I love this new mechanic where knights can deploy different pets to assist them with combating. I'm a cactus, I mean a prick; I never sell any materials despite my current statuses - whether I'm broke or people need them. I have loads of materials to feed my pet, I like it! I can't wait to see it evolve and eventually obtain the ultimate skill.
Finally, the drop distribution: There is no longer that random roll a dice thing (I'm extremely lucky with materials, once I got 2 Plasma Cells, 1 Owlite Feather and 2 Silverweaves from one run on Legion of Almire. The other members got nothing, only some random 4-star materials). Plasma Cells are one of the most expensive materials as long as one doesn't take Shadow Lair exclusives, Zee Cores and that Cursed Idol thing into account. I normally won't communicate with other players in a party. If they say 'Hi' I just /wave and that's it. I then run off and do whatever I think is good. I also don't revive people who I consider as 'newbs' dying over and over again. Now I actually communicate with my party. I inform my party members the location of drops from monsters I wiped out on my own and they do the same thing to. This is another reason why a party should stay together. Normally spreading out will save time but now it won't. Members will either end up with unbalanced income or start to run across maps like psychos high on LSD.
For the lead-out limits, I know the fact that OOO wants to eliminate alt-looting. It doesn't affect me since I have 3 Vanguard alternate accounts with full Ancient Plate; I no longer play that much so it won't matter anyways.
The new revive system is also nice, no more mass reviving causing an entire party to collapse due to some heavy weight and people with good hearts.
What I don't like about the patch is rare drops. Like what I said way above, it will generate a mess. In the future we will possible see people running everywhere with generic Toupee + Dapper Combo; TLLs being cheaper than Pentas therefore no longer necessary to make Pentas. Sooner or later we might even see Darkfang Shields more often.
This is a load of great features in one patch! Thanks a lot OOO.
Thanks for taking your time too. ;) Wink.
you still have a minuscle chance to encounter a love puppy, and even then I don't think that there is more than 25% chance to get a TLL in a love puppy.
