Is it possible to switch battle spirits?

I am Brazilian, and I do not speak English (I'm now using the google translator) and I do not know how to speak English I do not look at what is written in the talk, and only Depis I realized that I was choosing the wrong pet.

From the pre-release notes at http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/84730:

"Each player will initially be able to retain, via a new mission, one battle sprite for use in combat. Later on, you will have the option to add others."

I hope Rhangar didn't just abruptly quit the entire game due to one response on a forum.
