After The Elevator energy prices got removed, I think it would better if 3 rings decide to remove those recipe sellers.
So players will make use more of the arcade and hunt more for recipes (which is already happening) with this it will also effect the economy in a good way.
This way people will also do bosses inside the arcades, well most of them I think.

Any Feedback/Thoughts is welcome.

If you aren't already doing

If you aren't already doing arcade, you are wasting your time, no joke.

HoH shut down most recipe hunting, I'd really like to see it come back. Maybe the NPCs in the HoH could instead explain what type of class they are, the benefits of that class, and suggest some gear and explain how that gear works.

Another good idea would be to allow players to preview and actually use the gear while in HoH, similar to how we were able to use Battle Sprites during the missions but when returning to Haven they were taken away. This way newbies could test out all sorts of various combinations and pick out what they like best :D

Some still use the clockworks.

Am I the only person who doesn't understand what you mean by "recipe sellers"? Are you talking about the Hall of Heroes, or Basil, or knights that resell recipes from Basil?

Oh, thanks. I think I didn't understand because the key information is in the thread title, not the thread body.

Not really necessary, as I'm a defender elite and I find the mission system quite useless now. The 4* missions are junk for finding anything. Compounds are fairly drop-less and they account for about half of the first levels. I'd rather run the arcade to get the mats I need. Perhaps this is different for 3* HoH players, but I prefer having the HoH as a reliable source of recipes. Besides, if you remove it, everyone will just make cobalt or go to Basil in missions lobbies.

Instead of removing the HoH entirely, why not take away some sets from the HoH? All NPC's in the HoH should only sell the basic sets. For example, Echo is a Skolver. So it should only sell the Skolver set along with the weapons. Vog Cub set? People will have to go to the arcade for that one.

One NPC to rule them all

How about one NPC that sells EVERY weapon and armor recipe? (The full list)

Why do some many people want all or nothing..?

I agree with what Skyguarder suggested. HoH should sell the basics. Basil's the guy to get the gear if you want to specialise.

It should only sell the

It should only sell the lowest stars of most lines but allows a "inspect" version of the higher ones so players can get an idea of what they might start.

I just spent 12 hours looking for alchemy orbs and only found one out of around 349 treasure boxes on elite. I'm not about to go through the arcade this many times just to get a "common" recipe. I'm burned out on those deconstruction zones. >_:(\

If the server update was to make alchemy orbs and sparks of life more rare ... then you've successfully trolled me. They NEED to be more common.

And yeah I realize I'm probably going somewhat offtopic here, but seriously. Recipe grinding isn't fun due to how much of a troll Basil is. :| That's my 2 cents on this.

No, if you want to bring back arcade, then leave it like it is because the update fixed the "noone plays arcade" problem. Now, i know that the hoh didn't exist back then, but a mission mode didn't exist and arcade was like the only thing. Now, arcade is more fun since it's not as op as the missions(some of them are, but the difficulty selection fixes it for the most part). I think the update made the orbs and sparks a bit more common, or at least i hope so(OOO said that they want that we can craft multiple sets and try them out). Making recipes arcade only would be a big problem, since you need a lot of crowns for one(25k for 5*) and vana farming for money doesn't work anymore, since you need to pick up all the crowns and the team can't revive you. An other problem is Basil, he is the biggest troll in this game, yesterday i played arcade like 5 times, and he always had the same recipes that i didn't need wich was very annoying.

You can go hunting for recipes to sell if you want. Don't force others, or new players, to pay 6k for a dusker coat recipe that you NEED to progress, when that is still a lot. Depending on random chance of whether you find it in 20+ runs to Basil for the normal price. Just so some other player makes some profit.

Now it's just those too lazy to check wiki, and fancy stuff like token item recipes, that you get from AH or hunt for yourself.

Hall of Heroes is the best thing since sliced bread.

(I am one of those selling recipes on Auction House. And since the update it's gotten out of hand, I can't get a break unless I simply stop to tend AH mails. There is still plenty of business for you to make with the lazy...)

3 star recipes sold for less than 5k before the Hall of Heroes existed.

Nope.

Hexzyle wrote: "3 star recipes sold for less than 5k before the Hall of Heroes existed."

Maybe in some other game. When I needed a Dusker Coat Recipe the cheapest on AH was 6kcr, and I couldn't afford the extra 2k then. A wealthy friend surprised me by buying one and giving it to me.

And normal price is 4kcr for 3*.

I got Tier 2 and Tier 3 clearance the old way, before Missions. I KNOW what it was like to be new and NOT have a Hall of Heroes, and NOT have the free 2* stuff the missions give you now.

Oh, well, I never got wolver gear, so perhaps that was higher due to demand.
