Seems like majority of the players went for seraphynx, especially vanguards (at least from what I saw) The least common battle sprite from what I see is drakon, did people really not take him JUST because of fsc? I've heard some people saying that and in my humble opinion I think it's stupid to build your gear and weps based upon this few levels. Whenever I asked people what to choose they always told me "this is good for vana and this is bad for vana and blah blah blah"/rant

Have a nice discussion :D

Actually (I did 2 T3 Arcade runs to Basil) most people seems to have chose drakon. I rarely saw seraphix or maskeraith. I chose the maskeraith because its poison can help my bombs deal more damage and invisibility.

I went for the wraith.

I went for the wraith. Utility over power, way I sees it.

Plus it gives me a poison option. Something I didn't have with my basic loadouts. And invisibility gives me the ability to duck out in combat and heal or consolidate my position.

I was so torn between cute

I was so torn between cute and actually useful. As a bomber, the 'raith's invisibility is *amazing* when dealing with greavers, since it allows me to get the hell out of reach, start charging a bomb and then deploy it, for example. And the quills do intensify the potency of my bombs as well and allow me to deal a bit more of damage due to their poison effect, since I had never bothered to get a Venom Veiler, nor I would have wanted to in normal conditions.

In turn, the Seraphynx's ray of light is a bit tricky and counter-intuitive to use properly (You want to use it sideways to work as a barrier and not towards enemies directly) and to this day, I don't know if its heart attack is doing anything at all, or if it's placebo effect. So the 'raith was my pick, even though I'll get a Seraphynx as soon as it's possible to have more than one.

I took a Drakon

I know Wraith is probably the "Meta" sprite because of the damage boost but I think it looks cool.

Plus I couldn't resist being a Knight with a Dragon.

Poison is actually useful. Only problem is Im too lazy to deploy it myself. Ive been using it for RJP because I need a new Silversix (>:()

Most of the havens I've been in post-patch have been pretty evenly distributed between all three sprites. I originally intended to get a seraphynx, but wound up going with drakon instead. Similar situation to Tenbriastar: as I'm primarily a bomber, I found more utility in having a short-cooldown, long-range attack--and the dmg, status and def boost from flame barrier ain't half bad either.

Maskeraith

My loadout costume is halloween-themed, may as well have gone the full 9 yards, plus I like the utility purposes.

I figure I won't change it for a while (sometime we'll get to swap our sprite for another).

Majora's Mask

I went with Maskeraith after trying all 3 sprites in the little preview mission: the cat WAS gonna be my choice but it's damage is pitiful and heart attack doesnt seem to ever work for me. Drakon's fire balls were really nice as an emergency gun (running pure sword and pure bombs work well with it), did ok damage and had an ok cool-down, thou I think it should be less. Flame shield was abysmal for me :V

Maskeaith's quills and poisons worked a lot better for me and the cloak seems ok but somewhat useless, more as a, escape skill then anything else but we have the dash and bash for that.

All in all, I like the sprites, specially the bit when they give you perks! It's like an extra trinket! Hopefully the perks include hp bonuses or weapon bonuses like ASI and CTR.

How stuff like that works.

Guy1: Hahaha! I'll bet everybody is going to choose the Drakon. Well I'm going to be different and choose Seraphynx!

Guy2: Hahaha! I'll bet everybody is going to choose the Drakon. Well I'm going to be different and choose Seraphynx!

Pretty much everyone: Hahaha! I'll bet everybody is going to choose the Drakon. Well I'm going to be different and choose Seraphynx!

The next day, 80% have a Seraphynx. I went with drakon, so now I feel special AND have the more useful one.

I chose Sera because its

I chose Sera because its usability later on

Most T3 players dislike Sprites for their pitiful damage and little usability in FSC or T3 itself, but remember: Your using a T1 weapon on a T3 mission

Uses for Ray of light:

1- as a Barrier to block some enemies while you finish off the big guy

2- Good against turrets

3- good for target practice (Enemy is stuck in the ray, thus clearing it for a nice Pepperbox Charge)

Heart Attack:

1- it gives free health, its going to be useful no matter what

Normal all the way. That way I deal decent damage to everything, and my shield protects me from everything (except turrets :/)

I honestly don't think its worth it besides the one that gives 5% cooldown reduction.Sprites don't do much damage but the effects of the ability is great.

I'm a pure bomber

I understand why alot of you other bombers out there chose Masqueraith, he is a great sprite, they all are. However, there is a reason for choosing the sprite I chose, allow me to elaborate.

Masqueraith was originally the sprite I was going to choose; debuffs enemies, cloaking, and a poweful third. As I did the tutorial level for him, I was quickly dissapointed. The 'debuff' was just poison, somehing I cannot stack with the venom I already have convenient. Additionally, the cloak quickly disaapointed me because of the fact that you can't do anything while cloaked.. sorry Wraith.

Seraphynx was my next reluctant point of interest. I play a heavy support role with my bombing, so I figured Seraph should be great for me. When I tried this sprite, I had mixed feelings. The first skill is good, but requires you to be able to apply instant crowd movement (unless you plan a vortex...not hard) but has a good niche in being a linear crowd control function, just with low range. The second skill was nice, this was a real selling point. The third sounds fantastic, and one of it's ultimates offers bonus charge speed... which probably doesn't stack past max :| ... sigh, if I didn't despise cats, I might have went with this one.

Dracon, I did not have high hopes for to be honest, but I decided to give him a fair chance. Fireball is not generally impressive, but does sport a small AoE splash on hit, but the aspect that caught me was the great range. Fire shield on the other hand, this skill had me hooked. Simply due to the nature of the ability, it perfectly compliments the offensive side of my bombing. Some of you may be thinking "... what. how?" Well, here's the kicker~ I'm a shard bomber, and the way I do it to most enemies involves tight weaving patterns, so what better than a defense up + a vana imitation? As for the third skill, seems pretty straightforward, nice instant AoE, but the thing that piqued my interest on it was the ultimate 'Frenzied Firestorm' which bolsters your attack, and gives you a move speed bonus!! I personally can't wait to try stacking this with my Merc Demo on XD.

Just my rundown, and I hope the sprite you all chose suits you well.

Writer's Block.

I figured that everyone would pick the Seraphynx because the Drakon was the most advertised, being on almost every Battle Sprites image for the last few months. That, and cats have, in my opinion, been insufferably immortalised as memetic symbols, only not in the cool way like Egypt did it. The Maskeraith seems to be getting a lot of love, though.

Personally, I wanted a Seraphynx because I like running support for my team in a lot of games, but I've been giving it some thought. I haven't actually gotten a Sprite yet, and I think I may just hold off until we're not just restricted to one.

May take a while, but I still need to focus on getting all my gear up to 5-stars. I can ill-afford to look after a pet. Al they want is food, and attention, and love. I don't have time for that, I have adventuring to do!

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get online yet so I'm just reading about them. Question, which sprite is the best for doing all around clockworks? And how expensive are Sparks of Life and Orbs of Alchemy?

Orbs of Alchemy aren't actually as rare as I thought they would be. One run of FSC got me 5 5* orbs and 2 sparks. If you were to buy Orbs, you buy them in threes and cost the same as crafting its item equivalent used to be. The option to buy sparks disappeared for me, so I can't tell you how much those cost.

Those perks apply to you, not the Sprite. Though I don't think the Health bonuses work properly; I've not noticed an increase in my health when I use Health boost perks.

choose any of the three. They are all very cool for different strategies.

And personally, I don't care about which one the majority of players is picking. But this is me =]

@ NETHEREAL: The perks will add to you as bonuses as well. Just check your bonuses after adding a perk. It adds instantaneously to yourself.
