Seriously, folks. They aren't quite as bad as you guys are making it sound. And this is ME saying this. ME. DOCTOR-TEN-REASONS-WHY-INSERT-UPDATE-HERE-SUCKS-SPACEBAR.

The Fire Crystals are inducing a huge amount of panic because "OMG HEATING TAKES TOO LONG". Here's some news for you. One, Fire Crystals drop so much on Elite difficulty, it's not even funny- you should have no trouble using at least 2x Crystals. Two, using more crystals can give you a chance to skip an entire level's worth of heating and Fire Crystal payments.

I'm more worried about Three Rings making money on energy! In a few hours of playing, I've acquired three Eternal Orbs of Alchemy- enough to create a five star weapon! Still, they've got things like Lockboxes, Shadow Lairs, Trinket Slots, and such.

One problem people may have is that Firestorm Citadel is no longer as great as it was for heating items. GOOD. Boss missions were/are run too often anyway.

I've also got a question. Has anyone gotten a Forge Prize Box? What's in them? And do you need a Key to open them?

The last few levels do take forever. I need like 90 for a 100% guaranteed upgrade.

Are they useless wen you hav a lvl. 10 item already? Though they make money off of rarities being in supply depot (i think)?

Prize Boxes don't need keys to open, IIRC. Lockboxes need keys.

Also, I kinda like the idea of FSC being awesome for heating items. The place is on fire, after all.

Hmm

I agree with Doctorspacebar. When I heard about the new heating system I wasnt that happy as I though it would be a pain to get the fire. Right now a single run on FSC elite will give you around 60 5* fires. You will gain Fires faster than you can use them (at least in my case) and it pushes people to other lvls so they dont grind FSC for heating a 4* item (no 4* fires in FSC for you!).

While the first two options never work for me (no lvls up, hopefully a bug) I really enjoy the new system. While I cant lvl up my new items 5 times in a single run anymore it does feel really good when I get a double lvl up (got two so far, so they are not extremely rare).

I have seen more and more people going to the arcade to get things like Fires and Orbs. This is such a good thing as now I wont be stuck alone travelling the clockworks. Going through the arcade and seeing people feels good, its like the time before missions again.

I still dislike them. True, it's not so bad for vets who can farm KoA on elite, but for newer players it adds a lot of grinding to something that was automatic before--particularly those moving from 4* to 5*, as the number of crystals you need to upgrade goes from 33 for 3*->4*, to 312 for 4*->5* at max crystals. That's an awful lot of crystals to get you to the 5* set you need just to unlock KoA. Anyway, just my opinion.

Last levels are still ridiculous.

If I want 100% chance to level my umbra driver from 6 to 7 it takes 90 fire crystals. I already wasted 30 with a 20% chance, of course it failed. I guess I'll never finish heating my stuff now. And I can't even use them properly now, because, even if they are at max heat on a level, they still halve the total heat gain and take it from other stuff for no reason. Though this might be just a bug/overlook.

The best way to get Fires for me is the arcade. Just a single run through T3 will net you enough fires to lvl up a 5* item (I got around 110 doing a full run, top to bottom of T3). If you are running FSC after this update it better be for the crowns as thats the only thing left it has going for it. Heat, Fires, and Orbs all come easier from Arcade. Fires are not hard to find, you just need to know where to look.

I do think that the stealing heat thing is a bug as it shouldn't do that. If something has no room for heat it shouldn't take any more heat.

Side note: No matter what side Spacebar is on it always seems to be the wrong side. Even when being positive everyone else is negative.

Forge prize boxes

I got 1 forge prize box and it gave me 10 sparks of life, a 3 variant ticket and an Elite alchemy orb. Pretty damn generous! There may have been a 4th item but the things I listed were the most noticeable. Frankly I think it's a waste of time to grind FSC now. I did just the 2nd half of a T3 run and got more crowns than a guildmate who did a KoA run at the same time. He got 9.3k crowns and I got 10.1k I also got 42 Radiant fire crystals while he got a mere 20.
