Well, I'm back, sort of. Been a long time since I've did more than use my mist on trinkets. I see there's been a whole slew of changes, and the wiki hasn't caught up yet. So my questions is, what are these pets in sk.

Scratch that, why are there pets.

In all seriousness though, what do each of these pets do, and what playstyles do they fit in.

And has Bopp made a guide for these pets yet?

You need the wiki to find this stuff out?

You could just read this and this...

Yes well, I didn't access the preview server to test all these out. There are still plenty information missing in the usage of these skills. For example, are the spells targeted, or do you aim them like the dash and shield bash skills. The continuous activation from the ray of light attack, does it follow your sprite or does it stay still.

Still plenty more to know.

To answer your questions

The skills are aimed like regular attacks, dash or shield bash. You need to first assign keys that work for you. The sprite from what I have seen gets rooted when you use a skill and then it flies to you when done.

There are Pets or Battle Sprites (Refered to as BS from now on) due to the community or rather a small section of the community repeating asking for pets or BS. So as they got added in, I feel that SK has changed drastically from the game that pulled me in. I'm interested in seeing where this goes but I feel that many things like BS are unpolished and look sloppier than what they used to, but it shows that if you keep posting the same ideas in suggestions eventually they will put it in.

Any more questions?

Just a rundown of how each

Just a rundown of how each abilities work. I've just played through the missions that had you use the three sprites.

I suppose my question is, do the abilities damage/effect increase as these BS level up from heat? And how useful are the shielding aura type of abilities, namely the flame barrier, angelic aura, and to a lesser extent, the shadow cloak. Do they provide resistance to effects and damage types, and how much.

I got maskeraith

His first ability doesn't deal damage only poison. His shadow cloak doesn't shield you much, only makes you invisible until you take damage or do an attack or an action. Gives a slight defensive boost but it's not noticeable at all to me. need to unlock the last ability though.

There's a list of skills and ultimate upgrades, but sprites are new, and nobody on the testing server seemed to do any real in-depth number crunching with them (at least, they didn't release their data if so.) There's still a lot of holes in what we know about the mechanics behind their skills.

The damage skills gain damage when you put points into damage. They also get stronger when they evolve at levels 15 and 50. The rest of the levels just give you perks and skill points.

Maskeraith's first ability deals damage, but only after you attack the target to remove the quills sticking to it, Bella-Donna is incorrect in their description.

@Zeddy

It's not that the attack itself deals damage, but it causes them to take more damage when hit with a weapon. That in and of itself is why I don't want to say they directly deal damage.
