I just got this idea. similar as to how we can choose the color of our knight, possibly we can change the color of our sprites with a pallete. Maybe for example the cat sprite (don't feel like saying it's real name), you could change it's white hue to black, or what ever color you'd like. and aswell the underbelly. This would finally allow my cat's name "Kuro-Neko" to actually be true.

I agree.
They should make it so that you can choose your battle sprite's personal color after you select one. Anyone that didn't get the chance to do this gets a battle sprite personal color modifier.

Waffle. C'mon, man. Some people just say +1 and nothing else to show support for an idea. If you're gonna say "nah i don't want this" you'd better be ready to explain why, otherwise people will just view you as "that guy".
I'm pretty sure they already have the art assets for different Sprite colors done, too. All they'd have to do is program something similar to costumes for Sprites...

@Waffle: saying "nah" is a complete waste of forum space. You don't like an idea, but you give no reason. This is helpful to literally no one. If you don't explain why you don't like an idea, you give it no chance to improve. OOO can't (or at least shouldn't) take your opinion into any considerable consideration, because they have no idea whether or not you represent a significant portion of he playerbase or not, nor do you give any reasoning for them to think about. All they get is "hey, one guy might not like this if we put it in", which, as evidenced by the UI and revive changes, they are not greatly concerned with. I'm not going to say "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all", but I will say "if you don't care enough to leave a constructive comment, go do something better with your time."
As for the idea, I'll give a +.75. I like the base concept of more sprite customization besides personal color highlights and ultimate evolutions, but something like changing the entire color of the sprite might take away from the style of the sprites themselves. You want a hot pink drakon, but then it doesn't look like a drakon. It looks like SK is more of a costume party than a game. And if OOO wants that... See ya.
Maybe something like how the harnesses work, where only certain sprites can wear certain harnesses? That could work for colors - you could have a red or yellow drakon instead of orange, but not a neon purple one.

Well...um...It's kinda like what Klipik said...If we could paint our Sprites with rainbow brushes dipped into rainbow cans filled with rainbow paint...lets just say Spiral Knights might evolve into...I don't know...a fashion contest? XD
I like the concept...but maybe we should be given a few select colors to use...you know...I'm not too keen on finding a rainbow Maskeraith for starters :P
