I've been doing a few vana runs lately to farm for 5* mats (and to get my elite harness) and while doing so I've come across at least 5 knights who always asked for revs when they died, their excuse being "I've run out of sparks."

Someone care to explain me how a single person dies +50 times in a single day? I mean, you get like 50 from being a Vanguard, and I've found atleast 15 of those, now owning (ironically) 69.

That's why I like this

That's why I like this change. As long as you're playing reasonably well, there's no way you can run out of sparks. A t3 run or vana usually gets you 2-3 sparks minimum, and you already get a free revive every level. The only place you can spend more than you gain is maybe in Shadow Lairs or danger missions, and even then danger missions refund you back a good number of sparks at the end. It just punishes the people who've been running in, kamikaze-style and relying on teammates to revive them instead of actually playing the game as intended.

not 50 but 100 times. they

not 50 but 100 times. they probably tried to troll you by saving their own sparks.

I got at least 120...so yeah.

Same happening to me. Ppl

Same happening to me. Ppl seem to take advantage of SOL's. some don't die but when they do they say they have 0 sparks. Honesty in games is hard to come by.

The laughter ensues

I ran FSC with a not-so-well-geared friend of mine (Ash Tail, not the best idea), and he probably died 15 times in that run. He just got all 4* gear. I was laughing the whole time during that run.

Anyways, he would be a prime example of someone who would eventually have no Sparks of Life. In that case, though, people should probably practice somewhere else. Sure, elevators no longer cost energy, but constantly dying with no thought on why you are dying all the time... they are in dire need of practice.

So you died 80 times. Assuming you died twice per depth with that emergency revive.

You must be either very bad at the game, undergeared or playing on the wrong difficulty.

Sparks of life are not exactly common, but on Elite I get more than I use. I have over 100 right now, and I rarely use sparks of life except when I am out of touch and end up dying or due to lag / lack of vitapod.

If you need sparks but die like crazy on Elite, it's not worth it. Tough luck then...

If I like you I MAY rez you

If I like you I MAY rez you more than once. But if you're just someone in a party, I will give you one SoL. Period. You die after that, it's on your head.

This change along with the removal of health sharing has made me hate teaming up. It honestly has become a punishment to die, because you lose resources not easily regained.

C'mon OOO, at least let us have health revives back. For the sake of teamwork.

The face you get when you see someone repeatedly dying in an elite mission/arcade, and then asks you for revives.

I've had my fair shares of death. I wiped out a lot on some instances. I've lost 30 sparks in the past two days. Am I being careless? I just want to finish what I started.

I agree, this annoys me quite

I agree, this annoys me quite a bit. When the Spiralmon update came in and I logged in, I got a mail saying mission rewards (or something like that). From that mail I received 64 sparks of life. Just from that mail. I don't mind reviving people, but to say that you're out of sparks is just unbelievable. You wouldn't have even made it to vanguard if you died that much so why lie that you're out of sparks?

This effects team work as they just won't get up until you kick them, finish and move on to the next depth/Haven or until they decide to leave.

I sometimes rev someone with

I sometimes rev someone with a spark if they are 0*-3* because they didn't get much from mission rewards mail and less experienced in the game. But I would never rev a 4* and 5* because they got a lot from mission rewards mail and can grind T3 elite arcade.

If you die enough time to

If you die enough time to completely run out of sparks then you're doing something wrong. Practice on normal mode and in less difficult areas until you can learn to not die so much. I can understand helping guildies out but I have never seen anyone ever run out of sparks.

I don't think you know what "ironically" means. There is nothing ironic about having 69 sparks.

my 2 cents

At this point I have used more Spark of Life on teammates then myself.... I used 4 on me and 10 total... still at 150-ish

I've seen people w/o SoL and like I pointed out, maybe they shouldn't be running Vana at all... free elevator means free practice at JK and RT. People might not know this but as a perfectionist, I hesitated a lot to get on Vana. I farmed JK and Roar as a 5* for so long until I had *what I felt like* proper gear to attack this beast. (Shiv, DA, AP, back in ye olde days) And even then I would only farm him with a competent team.

I trained a lot and died a lot doing so but got better over time and now I can pretty much do anything on my own (I still want to go on a SL snarby run alone ^ ^ but that damn key cost so much >.<)

And now with the new update, you won't see me run vana in chaos. Only in Vog set and with 0 dmg bonus on my Blitz. Safety is key now :D

Fun story: Even with Shiv Lock on, people die at vana since the fight is longer now. I saw someone use 10+ spark of life on vana while I used none. Shiv lock is hard to work with apparently -_-

I brought this T2 player on a vana run once. mostly because his friend was being a jerk and ragequitted, so I helped him with an arcade vana run. I kept him alive until the boss and on the third stage, he just wanted to end it so he just charged at vana, attacked, died, used the attack boost to attack vana, repeat until vana died. he used a lot of sparks, so I can understand why some underleveled players could run out.
