I have already aquired the steam knight mask for the knight I played for quite some time, But I decided to make a new knight to go with the new update and the removal of the energy system and the other changes. I was hoping to get the steam knight mask for this knight as well, however I do not have 5 friends left to recruit into the game to earn the mask again. The friends I have left had made it very clear they aren't going to play the game. My thinking is that since I have already recruited enough friends and earned the mask, shouldn't it be available for all the knights I have associated with my steam account?

The mail you got containing the mask could be opened on any account, and it should have given you a warning stating this before you opened it and it got bound to that account.

I hear what you say quinzal,

I hear what you say quinzal, But I think you misunderstand me. Each player account can have up to three knights associated with it. However, as it stands, each of these three knights must do the invite "5 friends from steam" task individually to get the steam knight mask. What I'm suggesting is that If a player does the invite 5 friends on one of their knights, All their knights should be granted the steam mask, and when they create a new knight, that knight should also recieve a mail containing the steam knight mask.

What if you purchased some

What if you purchased some fancy Energy package with unique costumes and this package is no longer available to you for purchase? You can't get it any more. You can't move items into another knights inventory.

The only thing you can ask for is for game master to transfer specified non-tradeable items to new knight's inventory. They may or may not do it.

Well when you really think

Well when you really think about it, costumes might as well be account based not character to be honest. You can't trade them so I don't see the issue.
