So... when your items hit the heat cap, does heat go to waste?

Okay, so, when you get heat, it gets divided evenly between all of the items that need it. And when you hit level 10 with any item, heat stops automatically getting divided into that item, meaning you are getting more heat in all of your other items.

But when your item hits the heat cap and needs a fire crystal to level up... does that not work the same way? I have like three of my items at the heat cap, and they require fire crystals to level up, and I'm just trying to heat my sword right now, but its getting barely any heat. I think the game is dividing my heat among all of my items, but most of them don't need it at all. Thats a lot of heat going to waste.

This is really, really annoying. Is this the case, or am I maybe just not doing something right?

Level up and fire crystals

You have to use the forge. A little notification (star) will pop up when u can level your item (this will happen when in haven or at arsenal stations). You use fire crystals to level up. Or are you saying if your items heat level is 10 already? Sorry i'm confused by what u mean as max heat lvl.

No, I get how to level up

No, I get how to level up items. What I mean by "heat cap" is that my items have full heat and are ready to level up. What's bothering me is that the heat is still getting divided into them despite them being unable to gain anymore heat.

Since leveling items takes longer with the fire crystal system, I kind of feel that heat should stop dividing into the items that don't need it, just like they would if my items were level 10.

Not answered yet

So the actual, still unanswered, question is if you have items that need the forge right now, does equipping them steal heat from the items that need it?
Someone should find out~

Yes, that is the question. I

Yes, that is the question.

I have items that need the forge, but I'm not 100% sure that they are stealing heat. My sword feels like its levelling so slowly... but maybe I'm just not getting very much heat?

An idea

Why not take off all the stuff you think is stealing heat?
See if you get more on what is left!
Of course, if you can't run without that gear go to some other area, try it with and without the fully-heated stuff.

I think a ready-to-level item won't take any more heat until it's leveled.
You're battle sprite will still eat it up though.

When an item is ready to level up, there's still an animation that makes it look like it's draining heat. That's what make us doubt.

@Theopolis

I think it wouldn't waste heat too, but De-X is asking, and I'm not on to check, so let's science it out!
It would make so much sense for it -not- to steal heat, but it could be a bug nobody's cared about yet or something, you never know~~

I attempted to test, but it

I attempted to test, but it didn't work out too well since I only have a couple of items that are level 10. All my other stuff has been crafted into higher level gear :C

I would really love if someone with the equipment would like to run a test.

From observation

As far as I can tell, heat is properly divided only into items that need it; however, no heat (or negligibly little) gets put into your sprite.

same

I have been wondering the same thing ever since the update. I'll try to run some tests and see what I come up with.

Wouldn't surprise me if it was.

A little more *incentive* to buy those overpriced radiant crystals in the depot.... :D
