How do I get these? Is there a certain depth you have to play at? I've played for hours at all different depths, and have on recieved Radiant Fire Crystals. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Shining Fire Crystals?
I'll do a few levels in Arcade and see what turns up and I'll get back to you on that one.
Gkku is right. Go to the arcade and start at t3. Play through to emberlight, rinse and repeat. If you can, catch the arena on the beast themed gate (I forget which it is)
Gkku is wrong. You start finding radiant crystals already at depth 21. Shining crystals can be found very late at stratum 4 (red boxes, most likely after bosses such as the Royal Jelly) and the first two floors of stratum 5. There's an arena at depth 19 on one of the gates at the moment, and spamming that particular arena on elite should gain you a good 20-30 crystals each run.
Really? They don't drop on every floor in stratum 5?
Learn something new every day I guess. I always remembered finding a lot of them with some radiants here and there up until the terminal where they pretty much switch over to completely radiant, so I assumed they were heavily unique to each stratum.
Gkku is right. They DO drop on every floor of stratum 5, which is what he said. At least on normal. He never said they were exclusive to there. He also said that they were "pretty much" the only ones there, not that they were exclusively the only crystals there. You also gave the OP the same advice I did but slightly less specific. Technicalities ftw :P
I have never found a shining crystal on depth 22.
Perhaps a product of Elite mode.
I've found Shining Crystals among Radiants in Treasure Vaults in D22 Elite. They show up, they're just mixed in with Radiants.
I just ran through the stratum to confirm what I said, had mixed when I lucked out on a treasure vault at D22, normal mode.
They're pretty much the only crystal you can find if you're playing in stratum 5 (any floors between emberlight and the tier 3 clockwork terminal, or in missions anywhere between depth 18 and depth 23).
I can't imagine how you're only getting radiants though if you've tried all the depths.
