they messd up the revive system
the spark of life is ok but not shearing hp???
it was the best way to survive now all you have to do if you
run out of sparks of life is
a)pay a huge price
b)quit the party and go play with someone else

so is it only me or the old system was ALOT better

I'm an experienced player and rarely die more than once per level unless I'm either: A. Surrounded and mobbed B. Fiends C. lagging D. Minis (FREAKING GLOP DROPS)

I actually have more spark of lives than I need. Like, 65 more than what I need.

If you're dying too much, play on normal difficulty. Elite or advanced might not be for you.

If you're still dying on normal difficulty... Get some help, seriously.

Besides, now that elevators are free, you can just restart the level... I guess...

Yeah, its not as big of a deal with elevators no longer costing energy. It doesn't feel like a total waste if you fail.

Also, I feel like the enemies drop more health now, or is that just me?

agree

I like the old system of reviving with health, just because it fostered a certain sense of teamwork. But, despite overblown fears before the update arrived, I find that the new reviving system is extremely generous. My reviving energy costs per week have dropped from maybe 10 mist energy to zero. Sparks of Life are just piling up.

There are no teamwork anymore. It is up to you to manage not to die. And if you do, it's sad, but you have to pay not to give up and let the team fight wuthout you ...

The game hands you more than 50 Sparks of Life for free. FREE. And they drop like candy. I was skeptical about this new revive system at first, but seeing how disgustingly common Sparks are, I see no reason to go back to health sharing.

Before the update when I first read that I was like "OH GOD", then I went into the clockworks, and I did a few parties with T2 players, refusing to revive them more than once. They all failed and were angry at me. Then I did a party with Zeddy like that, and he didn't die as much, so I thinks "well maybe it is just crappy players". and I was correct.

Also, I prefer a thick coat of HP but you can shear yours off if you want ;P

Anyone who says teamwork is dead either doesn't have a Seraphynx or hasn't partied with someone who knows how to use it. I like the fact that I can now take proactive measures to keep my team alive, rather than just picking them up off the ground.

Don't get me wrong, I prefer the old revival system too. Just don't go saying teamwork has gone the way of peperony and chease.

That's a great idea! Bring the old revive system back so we can share health! And pay more for revives too! Doubling every time you DIE

I too enjoy spending 1k ce on reviving in UFSC because my teammates are trigger happy with their revives.

I too enjoy getting 1shotted every ten seconds because I decided to be nice and help Cobalt Joe.

I totally need his heat ember despite having level 10 everything.

Oh boy, I LOVE SPENDING 1K ON REVIVES!

Said.

No one.

EVER.

Seriously. The old system, while a bit more accessible, was also maligned. It would mangle our ability to play just because a lag spike occurred or the dog needed to be let in or a man came into your house and you needed to go talk to him and be social.

Just because you don't like the new system doesn't mean we're going to suddenly go, "OH NO ONE USER HATES THIS REVERT REVERT REVERT!"

Also, Orbwanter, I still have pepperoni and cheese sometimes. On a sandwich. Or pizza.

EEZ GOOD.

Must admit when I first heard of the revival changes I thought it was a shameless cash grab and thought it would ruin things forever.

Now it's gone live I quite like this system. One free revive per floor and sparks seems to drop plenty enough as well. Adjustable difficulty settings also help with this and no constantly increasing revival costs for wipes.

A part of me is always going to miss picking team mates off the floor and charging ahead at dangerously low health, but I think I prefer the current setup.

I have playing this game

I have been playing this game since June 2011 and i prefer this new rev system, it is more challenge and it forces you to take the game more serious when you have low health after the first auto-rev.

The new rev system promotes a lot more... individuality I guess is the best way to put it. You're more independent than before. I like not having to rely on the "I GOT THIS GUYS, I CAN SOLO THIS SL IN 2* GEAR! I'M PRO, YOU'LL SEE!" people.

Can I sit down? The sky keeps swirling around.

Don't want to deal with Sparks?

Simple. Buy a vitapod or health capsule before departing. Plus, health capsules are incredibly abundant. If you're not keeping your health above half, it's time to learn to do so. That, or get a Heart Attack Sera to join your party.

With the new system I am gaining more sparks of life than I am expending them. I'm around the 150 sparks number right now and have no idea what to do with them.

The PvE metagame has changed and people expect to go by without taking advantage of, or safeguarding against the new rules.

I do however, want to see a "No self-revive option for 1 minute", with the exception of emergency revive and party wipes. Have another player run to your corpse and activate your spark for you.

The Truths don't provide any Answers

I don't feel too bad about the new system. It's a bit worse and better at the same time, but overall, it's okay. I feel like it seems fairly solid, plus everytime you use a Spark, you do an AoE stun and get a temporary attack increase, which is nice.

I agree with OP, health

I agree with OP, health sharing is a pretty cool way to foster teamwork.
At the moment I am having fun selling dead people revives for 5K.

What's wrong with the new

What's wrong with the new revive system? First of all,I don't see the "team work" in reviving a dead player. Team work is "ok you freeze them and i'll hit them" or something like that. Also, the emergency revive kit is really awesome. If i'm in the end of the level and don't have a lot of health but still have the kit,I can just kill myself by going over spikes or something and then the kit will give me all the health back for free, and I get it again next level. (I like calling it tactical death) So if you have any change to complain about,I don't think this should be the one. And by the way,you can still revive by giving a spark of life.

You revive teammtes even if

You revive teammtes even if they were jerks, so you can all contribute to the success of the group. That, and you can have a dead player store health and have everyone just go crazy knowing someone is still alive.

Emergency kit only gives you red pips.

The new revival system is

The new revival system is incredibly generous, but... it really does make me rethink reviving a teammate. If theyre -that- bad that they have no sparks after doing the quests, getting drops etc. Do I really want to use my precious sparks on them?

Sure I have been prone to using a fair bit on bosses due to australian lag but... even after burning 6-8 on one fight out of sheer stubbornness I still am sitting on 30+ of the buggers.

I do miss pulling people off their feet for hp though, it didn't cost anything that couldn't be recovered in time by playing smart. I could feel like I was giving them a better chance and helping the chances of a team progressing. This new system I doubt I'll ever revive someone that won't do it themselves unless I really think I have no hope on my own >.>
