I've tried logging in several times before and after the Mac fix. Still doesn't work on Ubuntu 10.10. It worked completely fine on my computer until today.

Edit: Also, just wanted to mention that I initially really got into the game because I thought "Wow! An MMO that actually runs on a UNIX OS!"

What version of java are you running? I'm on Ubuntu 10.04 and playing with no problem whatsoever.

Java

I'm running version 1.6.0_24. I know it's not a hardware problem because I can boot into Windows 7 and play it just fine. I tried a support ticket, but despite me clearly stating the situation, and that I had tried a bunch of times before and after the Mac patch, all they did was ask if I was on a Mac. They said they had patched again and that it should work now on Macs. Great freakin technical support skillz. =/

Fixed it myself

1. Open a terminal.
2. Use the command " sudo update-alternatives --config java "
3. Pick a different version. For me, it was the "manual" version with the same name as the "automatic" version.

What I think happened was that both OpenJDK and SpiralKnights patched about the same time. It made it look on our (pre-11 Ubuntu users) end as if the SpiralKnights patch was messing us up, when in fact it was OpenJDK. Hope this helps other Ubuntu users.

Oh yes! I've fixed it! For who is still stucked as me, few minutes ago...

1: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ferramroberto/java && sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install -y sun-java6-jre sun-java6-plugin sun-java6-fonts

2: Open ports on router: for "java" from 47624 to 47634 (both methodes).

3: Play!
