Which battle sprite did you choose? Why?
What did you decide for the Ultimate? Why?
Why do you think you made the right decision (for both questions)?

Drakon. I didn't like maskeraith at first, and I gave up on seraphynx because I didn't want to pick ultimate skills that make it look like an insect.

I'm leaning towards the more offensive Meteoric Firebolt, Scorching Barrier and Explosive Firestorm.

I haven't got there (level 90) yet. I initially regretted going for Drakon after realising how useful Maskeraith is, then I saw the abomination of his ultimates and loved Drakon so much more.

I'm still stuck out of game because of my internet. The Maskeraith is claimed to be the best Sprite of all, even before it gets its ultimates, due to the sheer usefulness of all its skills, but that could be a result of it being the only Sprite that's completely balanced.
I'm also considering the Seraphynx due to its ability to assist teammates.

I probably won't get a sprite until we can get more than one.

Drakon. Dragons are awesome (as my friend soulwolfy noticed, my ign is coelydragon, I wear dragon scale costume, own a Drakon, am in the dragon knights guild, is there much more to be had?). Also, I'm a close range fighter. I'm probably picking the ultimates with the best look because the ultimates are all fairly useful. Yes, I made the right choice because you can't go wrong when you started with no sprite and got a dragon.

Do you have dragon wings on

Do you have dragon wings on your dragon scale? And do you use the dragon scale shield?

Personally I would say

Personally I would say Seraphynx due to the ability to assist the entire party with Heart Attack and its shield. Maskeraith would be my next pick as the Poison is also very useful for the team, especially on bosses such as JK or Vana.

Just to note

Seraphynx's disintegration ray causes a higher defense reduction than poison-enemies still deal full damage and be healed, though.

Great for team support.

Okay, well maybe not. I actually use scale helm and fencing jacket which have the same skin. I'm an f2p at the 5* HoH, show some mercy. Dragon scale shield is on my list. High on my list.

Make me some shadow food,

Make me some shadow food, I'll donate to that fund.
to stay on topic, I like the maskeraith form with the spikes back, wings, and angled skull. It's just so menacing looking.

Seraphynx. I picked it

Seraphynx. I picked it because I liked the way it's frazzled tail looked. Seriously the only reason I grabbed it over the others.

It's the most useful though for team dives into the clockworks. Disintegration Ray drops defense, as was mentioned before, but it can also stack alongside of poison for a further defense buff, making for easier boss runs than was possible, even on Elite Shadow Lairs. So running alongside of Maskeraiths for that reason alone is ideal, and kind of gives the impression that the pets were catered not to be balanced independently, but balanced within a group of 3-4 people. Yay longterm party effects.

Iron Heart Attack's also incredibly valuable for team dives, because the defense orbs are shared amongst everyone, which is something unique with the current loot system. Also, if you can pool three or more orbs from a single Iron Heart, you can essentially chain two Iron Hearts together, since the buff lasts longer than the cooldown. Granted, the only places I can think of where you have that opportunity are in the hell room for Shadow Lair Snarbolax and D25 of FSC if you don't clear out the center room at all and pull all eight sprites, but the point remains that it has the potential to be incredibly team-oriented.

Last, Angelic Aura in general is just great for ignoring spike traps, but specifically the Valkyrian Aura is just god-awesome because of its ability to boost everyone's charge times - even with the prevalence of Chaos sets in PUGs and probably within everyone's friends lists, guilds, what have you - having that extra boost for yourself in the event you're playing it safe and going with something a bit more defensive is great, and also makes for great mob dives with a Nitronome, Blitz Needle, really whatever weapon of choice you have in mind, and mowing down an entire arena's worth of enemies in seconds.

Maskeraith

Poison's useful, and the idea of the 3rd move appealed more than anything. Honestly so far at level 65 the third skill doesn't even hit that great with maxed damage points, which makes it a bit questionable, though I guess maybe 3 ticks would be doable after I get third point in duration- maybe one of the ultimates too, I suppose. Being able to kill something with it sounds more like a chore than anything, and the statuses don't have a set percentage that I could find, so that's lame. But yeah, the concept of just tagging some enemies anyways. Plus he's cute! Mostly chose for looks, between Raith and Sera. I'll probably get Sera on my main, since I started a new knight for battle sprites (Oh how I regret that, didn't think they'd be so grindy til I was too far to turn back)

Drakon has the coolest

Drakon has the coolest abilities by far. Maskeraith is incredibly hideous, but the invisibikity skill makes up for it (akmost(. And seraphinx looks pretty deceno but skills are OK to
