(I really, really, really don't get why only box drops are seen as worthy of crafting. Selling rarities is what OOO makes their money with, hence the name. If you don't want to pay with your credit card, farm for crowns and buy energy. That's way faster than hoping for three box drops).

i found elites on JK elite 3elites per 7runs so i usually grind them in JK and i get 17 orbs from 28JK runs

The fastest way to get elite orbs is buying from SD, if you really want to find them:
-High temperature hostages
-Speedrun sewer stash 1st depth
-Axes of evil trick
-RJP
-IMF (gives eternals too)
-Arcade with arenas/treasure vaults
-T2 danger missions
-T2 OCH it seems...
There is nothing more to say about it

I have never seen data analysis about this exact question, but based on similar questions I really doubt it. For example, party size does not affect crown payouts. Nor does it affect the number of treasure boxes. Nor have I ever noticed increased rarity drops in parties.

elite orbs are extremely rare, rarer than 5* orbs
the best way i found to do it was to play king slime, my first time i got an easy 2 elite orbs

This is from 4 months ago. I think it's well known that you get your fancy elite orbs from playing Spiral Knights.
That best way of yours was probably a fluke so good for you.
