@Amber

Yes, you are allowed to trade Crowns/Ce for other steam game currencies through steam trade..

Personally have done several trades for TF2 refined...

Games are also tradable, but make sure they are as a gift and not a code :)

Have fun

So if you're allowed to do it though steam trade, are you allowed to do other games like diablo3 or nope?

The problem with doing it without steam is that you have no secure channels to do it and you'll probably get scammed.

There are no guarantees that the other guy will complete the trade or go away after you send him the money first.

No-Thanks
most probably not allowed

trading among many different games and real life currencies is more or less common practice depending on how harshly the staff keeps it in check, but it is usually prohibited

also this question should be asked directly under support

plus u will want to know the policies of both games, among which u want to trade things

the scam risk is always there of course and thats the traders problem and nobody elses

there are ppl who justify those trades by using it just for games, that they want to quit, others, who abuse it wherever they can to scam their things everywhere possible, and some private ppl who pull it off regularly and get away with it so smoothly, that they can make a small business out of it

steam is pretty big and is kind of nice to trade there, but steam just isnt for everybody

for any further questions ask support
im way too lazy to look through their policies and its so much easier to ask the ones, who are paid for answering

and if nobody has posted a definite answer by then, feel free to share, what u have been told about this matter

Depends..

Well... in between steam games shld be fine... however, if doing it with an external game, i agree that it is extremely risky...

Especially when you posted on

Especially when you posted on official forum about it so now you are kind of 'blacklisted' and you may be suspected of doing something like this already or in nearly future.

Trading CE through Steam is

Trading CE through Steam is okay.

Trading things for CE that aren't available through Steam trading (game keys, steam wallet codes, minecraft gold, etc) is something they have an issue with due to scammers.

Just to reiterate

Steam trades are supported officially. Real money/item trades are explicitly banned. Other games are do at your own risk, if you get scammed OOO will do nothing.

Thats why you dont sell

Thats why you dont sell account, characters, items or money but you actually sell the time and commitment you spend in order to achieve those goods.

Oh and of course you keep all of that outside OFFICIAL forum, did i say that already? Yes, no? Whatever.
