Gender: female
Appearance
Loadout: psi-blades, guided fireball, thunder weave, telekinetic weave, silken gown, Valkyrian power armor for when things get really dicey
Biography: After absorbing the crystal energy from the Crystalizer and defeating her uncle Diavolo Sintaris Valentine, she seeks to protect the power from anyone who would use it for evil. She has toyed with the idea of sealing herself away behind an impenetrable barrier, but she is unwilling to take that step yet. She recently ascended the throne once more as Queen of Valhalla after the untimely disappearance of the Queen Astraea, and re-formed the White Council with new members shortly thereafter.
Personality: She has grown much more serene and mature after her recent experiences, but still has a very developed sense of humor. She is best known for her unusual kindness, even towards her enemies, and rarely raises her voice in anger against anyone. She can readily deliver moving speeches, sage advice, and heartwarming reassurance when she deems it appropriate.
If one word could describe her: "love"
Name : Lightning(prefers to be called in his alias, "Skype.")
Gender : Male
Appearance : A normal 20 year old build, has black hair and blue eyes outside armor.
Loadout : Skolver Cap n' Coat, Glacius n' Polaris, Grey Owlite Shield.
Bio :
Before getting accepted into the Order, he often wandered inside the Clockworks, and made friends with some of the knights he met, or sometimes, tried engineering with the gremlins. He was given a Wolver Cap and Coat by the gremlins to thank him for his help, along with a Pulsar, and he bought a Brandish and Owlite Shield to increase his regiment. He applied for a spot in the Order, and was accepted after a few days' time. He rose to the rank of Vanguard, ending up meeting a Seraphynx which(or who) was lost, and kept it. He named it by his real name *Lightning*, and lived with his alias *Skype*. He currently lives peacefully. One day, as he delved into the Clockworks, he came across Uni, whom he was kind enough to help as the girl was under a wall. He has taken a liking to Uni, without knowing their bloodline, but he enjoys his time with her nonetheless.
Personality : Caring and nice towards friends and possible ones, while hoping to protect his loved ones. He turns into a masochist after being heavily lied, tricked, or anything else by someone he cares about, but recovers a few days after. Prefers to be called Skype, but when gotten close to someone he opens up and tells them his real name.
@ Thin, maybe I'd like to try some other character than Gwen, if that's fine with you.

Kora wrinkled her face in disgust, and opened the door all the way. The surgeons paid no mind to her arrival, but only scurried around the room, working ever faster on the clump of flesh that sat in the tub. From the look of it, the flesh was actually a severely mutilated corpse; its ribcage split down the middle, all of its internal organs in the middle of rot and mold...
...but the worst part about it was the face. It was that of a young woman's face, and her face was still contorted in agony. Two eyeballs, glazed by cataracts, had remained staring off into space. The mouth was left hanging down, as the dead do when they lose control of their jaws. Whatever operation they were doing to her, it didn't seem like it would result in much success.
"From what I can see, you're doing something with a long-rotted corpse? How did it even end up li-" Kora commented, until a Biotech surgeon had interrupted.
"Subject of torture some years ago. Subject died from blood loss, but was presumed to be alive in her last moments. Although the body would have been buried or cremated, we decided that preserving it in Frost Gel for later use would be better. Right now, we have repaired the damage from some slugs. They appeared to have been fired roughly a few hours after her death. As we speak, the Biotechs are going to extract DNA and RNA samples from every part of her, and implant them into modified cancer cells. While we can't create a whole new body, we will be able to repair what was once deceased and damaged."
"In other words, re-animation...by implanting cancer cells? We're making Frankenstein?"
"Beyond that, considering we have this Knight's memory files stored in a server, and we can change the flow of the cells' growth. However, our primary goal would be to make sure that our cells can work in the first place. From then on, the Order will be able to decide how to use this first experiment."
Kora nodded, and looked at the corpse once again. She wasn't sure how was that even legal, but considering that dead bodies don't belong to anybody, she couldn't protest...
Some time later, approximately three weeks, Kora was yet called again to look again on the project, and into the Lab once more she went. Sprites were the things of old; it was more of a pet shop now. The Artifact, as usual, was safeguarded by a team of Knights, some of which she served with as their mentor. But farther back, a single, plain door stood. This was where the most dubious of projects were taken place.
Kora typed in a 25-character password, which unlocked the door, and she went in. After passing God-Knows-How-Many security measures, she was finally free to enter the facility. What she found there, however, wasn't something she would expect.
Biotech Hahn was helping a young woman up onto a wheelchair. The young woman was soaked in sweat, and her wobbly feet signed that she wouldn't be able to hold herself up for long. Kora rushed in to help, and they eased her back into the chair.
"Hahn," Kora said, after giving the girl a rest, "I didn't expect to see you here..."
The Biotech nodded, and looked around, mumbling about something. He suddenly re-averted his attention to her, and nodded again. "Yes, I was called here to keep an eye on our subject here. Cognitive skills and memory are the same as when she died. However, her motor and fine-motor skills will need work. She's perfectly healthy; they repaired her body by the new method. No traces of rot or foreign materials, and she takes regular medi-gel treatment to her scars. But, do take notice about these..."
Without skipping a beat, he slowly pulled down the gown to reveal her neck, which had been sewn up weeks before. The stitches appeared to be gone, but the scars themselves were still there. He pulled the gown back up, and dusted his hands off with his pants.
"Well, since she seems to be in fine condi-"
"We've realized that without any of our medical technology, she wouldn't have been able to recover nowhere nearly as quickly as she did. Her ability to repair herself is limited, due to the cells we've made. In the operation, her brain seemed fine, but when we took scans of her activity, her brain activity has been exceeding the normal limit many times over. Take care she doesn't strain herself; she's yours now."
"Wha-"
"Besides those conditions, she only has to go through rehabilitation before returning to her duties. It's your responsibility as her officer to get her back into service."
With that, he saluted, and walked briskly away. Kora could only stare off at the disappearing biotech, mostly in disbelief.
Sure. I have another character in mind.
Name: Astran Valderis
Gender: male
Appearance: brown Shadowsun Stetson, brown Wolver Coat with collar and leather gauntlets (trench coat)
Loadout: Shadowsun Stetson/Slicker, Aegis without the sash, Valiance, Iron Slug
Battle Sprite: Maskeraith "Andy"
Combat style: Mostly cover-based. Stabs with Valiance's bayonet when close, and can throw or stab with the knives in his Aegis. Prefers stealth, surprise, and precision.

One day, Evera went missing. Astran never told anyone how it happened, so nobody knows whether she ran away or got lost in the Clockworks. Some have speculated that she was murdered by Astran's enemies. He evidently believes her to be alive, because ever since, he has been scouring the Clockworks in search of her. By the time of this story, it has been two years since her disappearance.
Name : Armin (totally not a shingeki no kyojin reference...)
Gender : male
Appearance : slightly taller than most knights, with short black hair and rimmed glasses. His eyes are a deep green and his mouth seems to always be set in a determined frown. Is never seen without his lab coat on
Loadout: Blackhawk, Aegis, Ascended Calibur. His lab coat is surprisingly warm and his glasses also function as a HUD projector.
Bio: the stereotypical nerd-that-was-bullied-his-whole-life kind of child, Armin was always sort of a dreamer. He was a valedictorian in every single one of his classes and is easily one of Cradle's most brilliant minds. His mother recently passed, so naturally he wanted to join the resurrection project.
Personality: Armin is quiet and soft-spoken, but can take charge surprisingly at the strangest moments. He doesn't often tell jokes, but when he does, they are so hilarious that despite his deadpan approach to jokes, everyone laughs. Even Dezna, that cold little son of a-
Sprite: A Maskeraith named Lochlan. He is the more sarcastic of the two and often disrupts Armin's work.
Name : 'Crimsonwrath'
Gender : Male
Appearance : Red personal colour with beefed-up Ancient Plate armour. (the armour is the size of a trojan)
Loadout : http://i.imgur.com/f5dhVm4.png This, and this beast only. (stats stated on pic) (charge is like the sudar's) (the writing on the blade reads 'burn sword')
Bio : A corrupted Spiral Knight. He was once a normal Spiral Guardian, but he went into the Clockworks one day, willing for challenge. But a Trojan caught him by surprise and knocked him unconscious. He was took to a secret Gremlin facility, injected with evil. When he woke up he was in a dark castle. He resided there, taking it as safe. He sometimes strides out of the throne room of the dark castle to stalk trespassing Knights. All squads going into tier 3 that have seen him so far have not returned. The first level of his castle stratum is a level full of graves and Dust Zombies,with the occasional Dreadnought here and there. The second level is very different to the first. The lobby is filled with Love Puppies, and after exiting the lobby entering Knights are attacked by 5 Dreadnaughts and 20 Gorgos, supported by a Darkfang Scorcher and 5 Silkwings. After this, a wall of Shadow Fire is encountered, with a water globe generator near the entrance. When putting out this fire, Knights are attacked by a Trojan and three Carnavons. After this, they go to the third level, which has a wall of lava and a water module. After that, it is an army of Spookats with three Trojans. Once these are defeated, people go along to another room where they have to retrieve a key form a Battlepod. Once this is done, the next part is here: an arena flled with Gorgos, Devilites, Kats and Dreadnoughts, with the occasional Trojan here or there. All accompanied by lots of Scorchers and Silkwings. Once this is done, people fight another Battlepod, this one with blockades and shields. Once this is destroyed, the gate behind opens and the next level is reached. The fourth level has a lot of Darkfang Scorchers, Menders, Thwackers, accompanied by a single Phantom and several Lumbers. Several Dreadnoughts appear here too, with a few Gorgos. The elevator is reached after this mess, and the boss battle commences. Boss stages described below.
Boss fight: Stage 1: Just Crimsonwrath alone. He slams Knights that get too close. He can also take damage only from the front. Once he sustains enough damage, stage 2 begins.
Stage 2: Two shielded Battlepods, with endless Gorgos and Silkwings. To end the phase, both Battlepods must be destroyed.
Stage 3: Crimsonwrath, 2 Dreadnoughts and 20 Carnavons, accompanied by endless Gorgos and Silkwings. To end the phase, Crimsonwrath must sustain a alrge amount of damage.
Stage 4: Three shielded Battlepods and 25 Carnavons, accompanied by endless Gorgos and Silkwings. To end the phase, all the Battlepods and Carnavons must be defeated.
Stage 5: Crimsonwrath, 40 Carnavons, 3 permanently shielded Battlepods and 10 Trojans, accompanied by endless Gorgos and Silkwings. Focus all attacks on Crimsonwrath in this stage - all the Battlepods have permanent shields. Once Crimsonwrath sustains enough damage, he flees, and the battle is over. After the fight is a huge treasure room, chock full with red Treasure Boxes, minerals of all kinds, heart regenerators and even ten Sparks of Life and ten Radiant Fire Crystals. In there, there are five lbue treasure boxes, having even more iin them than red boxes in them. And they have a very small chance to drop a Colossal Blade...
Personality : Attacks other Knights on sight, serving as a tier 3 boss enemy. Has a large army of Gorgos and Silkwings protecting him.
Name: Jake
Gender: Male
Appearence: Has paleish green eyes, medium height size, lean body build.
Loadout: AP and Sentenza duel wield, Callahan, and Leviathan Blade
Bio: He lived a pretty normal life, and was recruited into the Spiral Order at the age of 19, and achieved the rank of Champion right before everything in his liffe went horribly wrong. One night, he was kidnapped into Vanaduke's lair, where he was tortured incredibly badly, to a point of near-insanity, all for information. When Vanaduke finally did release him, he stumbled back to the surface, where he met the least welcoming thing possible. As a punishment for providing the enemy information, he was discharged from the Order, and told to leave toorrow or else they would make him. Disheartened and furious, he now seeks revenge against the order, and travels as a rouge knight, although it is strange that he wasn't converted to a fiend yet...
Personality: After staying in the CW for such a long time, he gets friendly with monsters, but very hostile towards knights.
Name : Jeaguar (Also know in Haven as Sprite-Lover)
Gender : Male
Appearance : Tall, medium build, gentle face, warm eyes, Short black hair, normally seen with a small smile.
Loadout : Skolver set, Final flourish, Sudaruska, Supernova, Grey owlite shield.
Bio : Jeaguar's life was great and normal as a usual spiral knight, he succeeded in combat very well, until luck denied him while he was on a run. Gremlins captured him and tortured him to for him to become a traitor to spiral knights HQ. He carried on being tortured until he escaped. No one was ever told how. Jeaguar was scarred for life until he married and had a son. His wife and son both died in a house fire. Then Jeaguar turned his life to sprites to keep him company.
Personality : A calm man who is very understanding. How ever, if angered he will keep it inside of him until bursting out with sudden rage. He loves sprites, keeping 1 of each. If sprites are involved in conflict Jeaguar could even sacrifice his life for them. He would need to be held back.
Sprites: A seraphynx named Light, A Drakon named Fire and a maskeraith named Shadow. Each sprite is very powerful. He is usually seen with Light though as he thinks Light is the most Powerful. All are as caring as Jeaguar. If he is sad or angry, his sprites would calm him down. He isn't one without at least 1 sprite around. Some could even say that his sprites are the most powerful attack he's got. (Not saying Jeaguar's weak, but his sprites are strong. All moves are available to them)
Name: Blue
Appearance: A light blue personal color, and a short height modifier. She wears an elemental set, and sinister skelly shield and a iceburst brandish. She also has a silversix which she most often uses. Her armor is cleaned, as she likes being tidy. On her helm she has vertical vents and toasty glasses.
Bio:
She started out as a lowly recruit in the spiral order, applying for the job as medic. How fascinating it would be to learn about the knight anatomy, and saving lives every day! Unfortunately her captain thought otherwise. She was always overlooked for bringing onto missions and other things. But when she finally got to go, she knew it was her time to shine. On the battlefield, the knights were doing splendid, much to the dismay of Blue. Suddenly their captain was ambush and needed help. Blue ran onto the battlefield, making a beeline for the captain and getting a knight to cover her. She knelt over the captain unstrapping her medical pack that would save his life. She got out the equipment and her mind went blank. The injury was just below the heart so that would mean...
...So she had to....she didn't know! Knights were being hit by constructs and she was panicking...
After that day they needed a new captain and Blue was shown 'unfit' as a medic. She was kicked out of the order and had to do what all the others did: Go down to the clockworks to gather materials. At least she would finally get some battletime, but she was no longer a medic...
Blue went into the clockworks and gathered materials. But she never forgot to revive her friends. She's also easily irritated and offended.
She had died of torture in her travels with a man named Xzei, whose whereabouts are unknown. The ones responsible have long been dead, and Haven itself has changed over the course of years. What she might find when she wakes up may be foreign...
Personality:
Optimistic, and friendly. She isn't very smart, or strong, but she is quick. She just keeps her distance with her gun in combat. Her courage shows itself whenever she's with friends, but she usually acts happy and energetic in Haven. People tend to like Blue, but sometimes, she gets on the nerves of others. She's a thinker, but not a smart one.
Many thanks to Atgatg for allowing me to use her for this story. Xzei is Arctifice's original character from "Redemption".
Name :
Kurtz (Though to his displeasure, has picked up the name Jarhead).
Gender :
Male
Appearance :
His body is mostly robotics that are covered in protective plating underneath. All joints and "open areas" only show metal, plating & cables.
The only real part of him is his Brain, wired into his helmet and Armour. Its suspended in a Green jelly, and is fitted with lots of wires.
He talks like he's underwater, with bubbles appearing from his Jar's base everytime he does.
Is Blind, but can pick up sounds and work out where things are from the Vibrations.
Loadout :
Volcanic Demo suit, Volcanic Plate Helm, Volcanic Pepperbox, Sudaraska, Ash of Agni.
Bio :
Kurtz was a new recruit when he was shown his 1st Elemental Weapon, which happened to be a Firecracker. Sure, it may have just set a few wolvers on fire, and not much else, but he couldn't look away from what seemed to be the most spectacular event ever. He became more and more obsessed with learning about Fire. How it could be used, How to be safe from it, How to weaponise it well, and much more. He became engrossed in finding new ways to light things up.
A while later, Kurtz had gained his chosen loadout, of Firey Items, and one that packed a Punch. He loved his Troika and how it was simple yet effective. This was accompanied by his Fiery Atomiser, a reminder of the Firecracker he saw in his early days. His Gear grew and was forged into better & stronger equipment, experience was gained from battle and in Training, but his love for Fire kept building like a great blaze. Pretty soon he looked like a Demon, and was feared like one from his foes. However this obsession with Fire would soon engulf him for the worse.
During a Danger mission, raiding Compound 42, Kurtz's Squad were taking cover from the Toxic Fire, when the Demon himself got too sure that he was impervious to flames, and walked out expecting a herald of cheers and glory. But when he waded through the Flaming Toxins, he realised that fire was not the only thing at play. He collapsed in the mass of Hazardous Flame, only to be saved a while later when his squad could push back the Gremlins. His body was dying, but he could be saved...almost. They took him back to HQ and began to work on saving his Mind. Or what was left of it.
Weeks passed before Kurtz regained consicousness. He grasped his Hands which felt a tad rusty, and tried to walk which was also pretty stiff. He couldnt see anything though. He groped around for something in his blind panic when he knocked over a cup which smashed on the ground. In his head he could see the Vibrations it caused, like a ripple in the water. Medical staff rushed in and tried to pin him down, then managed to restrain him. The doctor went over the details.
Kurtz's body had broken down, nothing was left but bones. His brain had been salvaged and put into protective casing where it would remain. This casing consisted of his Armour outfitted with Robotics and Machinery to aid his movement. All connected and controlled by his brain with the use of wires and cables, fire proofed ofcourse.
A dim glow of Green eminated from behind his Helmet's slits, where his brain was taking in all that was happening. But deep down in his mechanical heart, a Fire was still burning. Even after everything that had happened, Kurtz rejoined the fight, bearing his old weapons now showing a Brand mark of "K". His Fire burned more than ever, with an unquenchable Vengeance against everything down in the Clockworks which would fear his Fiery Passion once more.
Personality :
A bit mentally unstable. He will support his Team, even though he may get Arrogant and carried away. If he gets ahold of Fire-Causing items or starts to burn things he starts to lose his mind a bit and goes on a Rampage. Burning Friend and Foe alike until he burns enough of everything and anything around him. Can often go on a rant about his love for fire.
Accepted Characters :
- Lightning
- Arthur [Renamed to avoid his closeness to another character]
- Jaegur [Modified name for easier memorization]
- Kurtz
- Astran
Those whose apps were not accepted, you can make more if you want. I rejected them as they would be too much work or carry too big of a role to play in the plot.
Name: Carter
Age: 20~ ish...

His left arm is replaced by a robot one.
Loadout: Miracle Cloak, colored black. Throwing knives, a Silver-six sniper rifle. (Extended stock, clip of ten bullets, and a scope.) And a cloaking shield. (Offers no defense, but has 5 seconds of invisibilty.)

Bio:
When Carter was a kid, he designed armour, just as doodles. Feron saw these, and tested these out. It really works! Feron recruited Carter as a designer, even though he was 10 years old. He accepted, but on the terms that he would be a field op knight when he grew up. Once he was 18, he was enlisted into the Black Ops Squadron.
His first assignment was to take out a bunker, stationed near Haven. Carter barely made it out with his life. He survived, but his squad didn't. He risen to Squad leader then, and commanded a squad. Their next assignments lead them to a lot of different places. Carter led them on a streak of victory, until one day....
It was to assassinate Herex. That way, the Recon Rangers would be able to destroy the compound. When they arrived, the realized it was a trap, and they had a spy in their midst. They killed the spy, and tried to escape. Dozens of Sentries and Toxigels chased after them, making it near impossible to escape. Carter volunteered to stay behind, and detonate the bomb, meant to cover their escape. He blew it up, and escaped, but with the loss of his arm. The Black Ops Squadron then moved him out of Field Operations, as his loss of his left arm was a liability to his squad, and the operation. He continues to make designs for the Spiral Order, but he goes down to the Clockworks in his free time. Most creatures in the Clockworks aren't a match for Carter, but when faced in close combat, most Creatures would be able to take Carter down.
Submitted by Topoyozariane. (Topoyozada.) Vinnydime, hope ya accept this.
This is Topoyozada, over and out. :D
Finally came to see this Fanfic you told me about. Looks great!
I wish you luck with your writing. :D
I'm not sending an app this time. But I would like to see how this plays out.
"So...erm...can I get your name?" Kora asked the girl in the wheelchair. She knelt down to the girl's eye level.
"U-um...m-my friends call me Bl...Blue. I know had another name besides that...just can't remem...remember..."
Kora gave a warm smile, and gently patted Blue's shoulder.
"It's alright, you'll get to it another time. Do you know why you're here?"
"I was...dead. What year is it?"
"It's...XXXX. 25 years from now..."
"For that long?! How did they eve-"
"They put your body in cryo."
Cryostasis was a relatively inefficient means to store items, as the flash-freeze effect would more often than not damage living materials. However, as a preserving method for food items, cadavers, and the like, it was the most viable method for those in the Order. Forget pickling, curing, or mummifying. Cryogenics would solve almost all preservation problems.
"That doesn't explain anything," Blue sighed, and looked around. "Where are we? I was told that I was at a facility..."
"You're in the Lab. Just the back part of it. We took some cancer cells and remade yo-"
"Cancer cells? Won't they spread?"
"They're modified to react to a set of hormones. We can stop the spread once you recover."
Blue nodded, and breathed out.
"I'm supposed to be up and walking soon..."
Kora nodded, and stood straight up. "Use me for support."
And the road to recovery was underway.
Kora had to leave soon after [after all, she is the officer of hundreds of Knights], leaving Blue to work with the other Biotechs at the lab for recovery. As her heels clicked out of the hallways, the smooth thump of yet another pair of footsteps prompted Blue to turn in her chair.
A young, quiet man approaches her, and makes a slight bow after stepping in front of her.
"My name is Arthur, and I will be taking care of you until you're back in shape. Is that alright?"
Blue nodded, and she propped herself up on the wheelchair.
"I guess I could go for another go, if that's alright with you..." Blue mumbled, prompting Arthur to nod.
"Ready when you are."
She took both of his arms as support, and managed to get both her feet up straight before suddenly collapsing on the scientist. He barely managed to grab her under the arms, and with great effort, he pulled her up.
"If it weren't for my scrawny muscles..."
"Huh, what was that?" Blue asked.
"What was what?"
"You said something?"
"Yeah, can you stand? My arms are starting to hurt now."
"O-oh, yeah. Sorry..."
She was still limp.
"You were going to stand?"
"What's that?" Blue asked, her eyes widened. In her eyes, a reflection of a shadowy blob floated up and down. It had a similar appearance to that of the Sprites found around the Almirian Citadels, yet it had a somewhat...creepier appearance. With its one glowing eye, the one that glowed a bright jade hue, the blob peered at Blue with some curiosity.
Arthur turned, and immediately dropped Blue on the floor at the sight of it.
"Lochlan, I told you to go with the other Sprites while I was with her."
Alright, I'll go roll over and bark for you, if that's what you want...
The blob floated away, rolling in the air as if to make a point of how utterly bored it was.
"That was Lochlan, a Battle Sprite. We've only uncovered them recently, but they're a new fad around Haven," he explained, when he turned to her. "Shoot! Forgot about you, sorry!"
~~~
For a couple of weeks, Arthur had to patiently wait upon Blue for everything. Whether it was to cart her to her bed, to the bathroom, to the shower, around the lab, and so forth. As much as it was a privilege to be the aide of the first "undead" Knight, it seemed much more chore-like to Arthur than anything. Other than the gradual improvement of her state, not much else of importance had risen up. No health problems, no superhuman actions yet.
He didn't say much after that first day, nor for the those weeks, as he pined for the day when she could be next in line. She was the only reason why he was here lugging around a young woman who shouldn't be alive. She, who had given him life, deserved another chance more than this...failure. The one who couldn't even revive her captain.
A solid bump for those who haven't noticed.
Its awesome so far.
But is Blue the Main Character having the story being told through Kora's PoV?
Or is Blue serving as an Introdcution tool for the rest of the Characters?
Im not quite sure who the main is, or if all the characters will be main.
Blue serves as the introductory tool for most of the characters, and each one will have their own air-time with their own POV.
"You said you wanted to be a...medic?" a man asked as he unloaded ten rounds into a target not less than a thousand yards away. "I heard that they deal with some deep stuff..."
Smoothly, flawlessly, he knocked out the six cartridges from each hole with a gloved hand, almost instantly plugging up each smooth cavity with another round. He slapped the wheel back in, and aimed down his sights at a target farther away, five hundred yards more. Ten rapid shots fired, ten rapid echoes pinged back to both Blue's and the man's ears.
"I'm supposed to teach you how to use firearms...again? How'd you lose that skill the first time?"
"Had a really bad accident. Woke up from a sort of coma..." Blue lied.
"Oh..." he mumbled.
Silence followed, and the man was still frozen in his place.
"Is anything wrong?" Blue asked, after a half-minute had passed. She was aiming down the sight of her Blaster, although her grip was very awkward. Without so much as a breath, he suddenly darted close to her, and adjusted her position to the proper two-handed stance.
"Focus on the ridge at the very tip of your gun, line it up with one eye and the two other ridges...fire."
Blue squeezed the trigger, and a small cloud of steam rose out of the Blaster. Unlike the man's rifle, which was based on gunpowder ballistics, the newer guns, such as Alchemers and Blasters, were based on a mist energy compression system. Each bullet would be injected with hot steam or compressed mist energy, and a fuse would launch the projectile at varying speeds, depending on the barrel, caliber, and so forth. However, this cleaner, cheaper alternative was still early in the designs, so Blasters usually held only three to seven rounds in their clips.
"Missed the bulls-eye by five centimeters. Not bad...
...but I want perfect. Aim and fire again."
~~~
Over the weeks, between physical exams and firearm practice at the range, Blue managed to learn that her instructor's name was Carter. He had a history of PTSD, which would explain his many moments of stillness, but it was very mild compared to many other veterans suffering with the same condition. Blue herself had struggled with recovery, but she didn't see death as a very dangerous thing anymore; all the people that she had wanted to spend the rest of her life with were dead or missing.
But it was a second chance for her to start all over, to finally save someone as a medic. Although she was deemed "unfit" before, perhaps the Order would be willing to give her a second chance in the field...if there was ever need for such a thing.
May I post a character app, or is it too late now?
If I am permitted, Whats allowed and what's not?
Also, do you mind if I can be a Talking Weapon? Perhaps a companion character?
It's never too late to post apps.
You're permitted to make Knights, and mostly Knights. I'm more prone to removing Gremlins and other creatures from the rest because of the nature of my fanfict [revolving around urban warfare and civil unrest as the story progresses], so I find it harder to throw in one random monster. Powers are most likely off-limits at this point; superpowers are an overused theme in the SK community. However, you are allowed to slightly push the limits of the technology that the Knights have; just don't expect them to use lasers or lightsabers.
If you're making a sort of soul-bound weapon or anything of that nature, I might be a little edgy about it, but I'll have to see the app anyways :P [I'm also basing my work more on Arctifice's view of Spiral Knights, so I'd suggest you'd read that to get an idea of who, what, when, where, and why.]
By companion character, do you mean Sprites, or just a guy tasked with helping her recovery, or...what?
Oh darn, I just watched Firefly...
I hope nobody means "companion" in that sense. xP
Sorry about that Vinnydime.
GWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

Remove that app, it's making me go insane XD
...Did my OC take over your account while thinking of what should happen to water?
Because the "Remove it" post looks like it.
I'm gonna write up three chapters in a sub-plot of the story, so here comes serving # 1!

"Did you get him to pray today?"
"Yeah, after five minutes of nagging."
"He's seven for Christ's sakes. Don't you think he should've learned by now?"
"Well, between work like this and raising a kid alone...not to mention I'm also looking for her. Andy too."
"Yeah, well, you got me to help with two of those, work and the search. Who takes care of him at home?"
"He can take care of himself."
"Letting Strangers in, but not strangers? Hide if someone tries to break in?"
"All that and more. He cooks better than I can now."
"Good kid you've got then! Speaking of kids, we're here for some girl who went outta rehab, right?"
"Yeah. Heard she was practically dead. Those docts did some work to even get her back up and running..."
The elevator, refurbished as it was, still shuddered and skidded to a stop as it arrived in the Arcade. The two men laid their eyes upon some sort of Biotech, also in possession of a Maskeraith, and a petite girl standing next to the scientist. At first, the two partners thought they were looking at a girl no older than fourteen, but upon further inspection, her face suddenly jumped up four years and straight into adulthood. As short as she was, she was in full maturity, or at least near it.
All four party members saluted, and exchanged pleasantries.
"Skype."
"Astran."
"Arthur."
"..."
The partners looked at Arthur expectantly, but the scientist shook his head. "You needn't know of her; she's simply here for this one mission anyways..."
Astran and Skype nodded, and all the members pressed downwards.
Off to the Aurora Isles they went.
the 1st serving was a little small... Me thinks he wants MOAR MOAR MOOAAR!!!!!!
"And the nature of this project was to do what, exactly?" Kora asked into the speaker. She was straining her eyes to see through the darkened glass, the smooth, transparent wall that separate her from whatever was happening inside.
"To put deceased Knights back into functioning condition," replied a voice. Although she couldn't see what exactly was on the other side of the glass, she was informed it would be some type of surgical operation. She didn't know much of the specifics about it, and only recently learned its purpose. However, the method and the patients it would be used for were unknown to her.
After rubbing her eyes, she sat back on the chair, and stared up at the ceiling. Until she started hearing something, she wasn't sure what to expect. Maybe the cutting of the scalpel, or maybe the whirring of a saw.
But after several minutes of finger tapping, meditation, and contemplation, she still heard nothing.
Slowly, she slid her finger onto the speaker button, and pressed it.
"Are you in the middle of the operation?"
"Yes, ma'am. If you would like to see, I advise you enter the room. Make sure to sterilize yourself before entering," one of the operators replied.
And so that was that. She'd have to get up close and personal with whatever was being dealt with inside. While she wasn't comfortable with the sight of blood, the suspense in the air wasn't any better. The Knight stood up from her chair, and placed her hand on the knob. Slowly, she turned the cold metal, and placed the most delicate of pressures onto the rest of the door.
When the door opened by a minute crack, she could see several surgeons working hurriedly on a clump of flesh sitting in a lengthy tub. They didn't seem to be using any of the conventional tools at all; lengths of threads and cords lay on the floor everywhere, while a tray of needles ranging from sewing to stitching needles were resting on a stand nearby. The surgeons themselves weren't covered in any flesh or gore whatsoever, this black, greasy substance.
Slowly, a rotten scent crept into Kora's nostrils.
