I was at the depth 3 basil and upon talking to him, my character became unable to move. It would try and skip about one or two squares away and immediately rubberband back to the spot I first attempted to talk to basil. The trade window never comes up either and the only way to get out was to chose the "go back to haven option" and pretty much wasting what I invested into my trip to lower depths.

Update: now, I can't go lower than depth 1. Everytime I finish the first level, the lift takes me from depth 0 to depth 1 again and there are lift symbols all over the minimap. Occasionally, my portrait also says "waiting at lift" regardless of where I am.
