The only thing that's not great about this is the Caustic Quill Nerf, but if it makes it worse than the Ultimates than 'm all for it.

Uhh, okay... It's not like they were dropping like candy before - in my last three Arcade runs I've got 8 Eternal Orbs of Alchemy, ~100 Radiant Fire Crystals and... 2 Sparks of Life. But okay, I can live with that. And thanks for "blood screen, so real" option fix.
Still no fix for Ray of Light only hitting an enemy 5 times before it starts "glassing". I has a sad.
Happy that we can turn off the hit effects at last :) They make me lag.
No mention of fixing the damage of the ghost from the Haunted Haze maybe it was just overlooked.
STOP DOWNGRADING DROPRATES!

I hope caustic quills isn't nerfed too much. I'm finding it to be pretty well balanced right now. The quills do a lot of damage, but it's difficult to get them to all stick into something, bosses aside.
Not bad, but yesterday update should be in this, meh. Good job, but that about spark of life drop rate.... it's sucks. :I

I guess that would be the reason to nerf spark of life drops rates. Even though that just means us that hardly died in Elite mode will die even less now. Has it been a week yet? Because Elite Mode is getting pretty boring now and so is feeding my lv 55 kitty.

They're not supposed to drop so much, we know that, but after removing health-sharing revives, we need all the help we can get.
This is not helping at all.
What's even worse is that I get the bum deal of the whole thing. Whenever I'm in a party, almost always I get the least sparks of life. And adding this factor in is just going to force me to spend money.
That aint good.
@Mariohuge That's the point of reducing the amount of sparks of life, for the producers of the game to make money off other people isn't that the point of almost all businesses?
Why is such a small update taking so long to install?
Looks like the Caustic Quills skill wasn't nerfed too much. Mine do 187 yellow damage to a slime bag in T3 GTH, compared to (if I remember correctly) 200 before.
No. Just no. Don't decrease the drop rate of sparks of life, increase it. Because they are so rare...

For the update, hurray! Takes too long to update though. Whatever is going on with the update server is incredibly annoying. Yesterday's took 20 for 2 bug fixes, now it takes like 40 minutes. But it was worth it.

So what is the % drop rate for sparks of life now? What happens to the people who are not so good and run out of life sparks? Are they just out of luck? I have friends that i want to join me playing, but if they are out of sparks then well that's it i guess.

Everyone was wondering how OOO was going to make money. This is your answer. But I understand why you guys are upset. You got something for free, and now you are inclined to having to spend cr. At least the elevators are free, so that you can easily get enough cr to get ce. Even for people that don't have FSC. They have RJP and RT. And if they don't have that, then snarby is there as well.
The Favored Item Alchemy machine is still defaulting to using other Favored Items in the recipe if you have them in your arsenal. Please fix this (again)! Really annoying when you're making multiple types to sell.
Also, I'm still getting more sparks than I use, even when I used them to revive my teammates. (FYI, you can do that by clicking your fallen comrade's portrait and selecting "Revive using spark of life," and you don't even have to be near them.) I'm not complaining, just saying it doesn't seem any lower than before, for those panicing about not getting enough.
Also I'm not sure anyone's noticed....but are the Sparks of Life gone from the Supply Depot now?
Is this an error? I don't recall seeing anything in the patch notes about removing them from the Supply Depot. Why would you guys make such a big deal about the new revival system and buying sparks in bulk...and then just take them out?
It was really the only reason I bought CE. I hope this is just an oversight... :x

Please stop decreasing drop rates. Not only is it getting annoying, but it's starting to feel like you only want to cater to the elite players who already have everything they want. I'm already having a tough time getting new people to play, so please don't make it any harder.
Did you guys mess with the treasure boxes in Treasure Vaults to make them less likely to drop good things than other boxes? >:(

Now that it isn't the middle of the night over here, can you please explain "fixed" when you say it? Are the Ultimate quills buffed? Nerfed? One for one and the other for the other? And I don't see why Sparks of Life droprates were nerfed: they were pretty rare enough as it is (but still far more common than orbs). I can't see how anyone can get "More than they need" through any kind of run.
Sparks of life still drop at an acceptable rate. At least their telling us now when they change drop rates, unlike before with lockbox drop rates, and accessory chances in those lockboxes.
OOO can you guys fix all the interface bugs and memory leaks related to them? I'm tired of the auction house taking longer and longer to load the longer sk has been open.

Unused emergency revive will refill your health on the next depth. Up to 30 hp.
You know, this morning I was getting all ready to concoct a big steaming rant about how Three Rings becoming the next Jagex (implementing unpopular changes primarily for financial reasons and then completely ignoring the players when they utterly refute the reasoning for said changes) and that the only way to save Spiral Knights from becoming an unplayable mess would be to stop playing in droves so that Three Rings would have to listen to the playerbase or face having their funding cut off by their paymasters at Sega. This update just barely headed that off that rant. Barely.
I am still majorly upset by the misleading nature of the alchemy changes; the dev posts implied that you would be able to alchemize stuff for free, but judging from the fact that they basically never drop the intention was to move the energy fee to an item as an excuse to remove Mist Energy.
Also, stop reducing drop rates. You're just going to drive players away with those sleazy tactics.

Could we please have a word on whether or not Haunted Haze is working as intended?
For me it seems like this:
-Before the big update, we could choose if we want to spend money to get on faster, and to earn some special items.
-After the big update it kinda seems like we have to spend money to keep playing. The Energy (compared to the 'old' Crystal-Energy) now is used to buy general stuff every player needs, and if we don't buy this, we have a pretty hard live.
And PLEASE, change the new heat system it costs the doubled amount of money and time, which destroys every motivation to heat somethinng at all, if it wasn't needed to upgrade an item...
However I like THIS update :D (especially allowing us to remove this red damage effect)
Ladies and gentlemen, the most truthful post in the forums.
All they did was increase the amount of effort and time required for F2P players to reach endgame. Realistically, it's no worse than the previous 800CE crafting wall, which has now been significantly lowered as a result of being able to find Eternal Orbs as loot. Did you forget about the free elevators and the trade market? No mist means unlimited crown gain, and with the market tab you can still trade cr for CE to buy things from the supply depot.

well, owing to how not-hard the game is still, you could probably save up a bunch of sparks and have a revival blowout in a shadow lair
sparks of life still drop quite a bit. in advanced arcade RJP I found 3 sparks in a box.
I just crafted a Shadow Orb from 2 Power Orbs accidentally. I thought it was fixed to make it not accept sprite foods as ingredient? And it also doesn't auto-select my most abundant material anymore.
