Ok, so everyone seems pretty antsy about the increase CE cost to transmute, as well as the whole 4* and 5* binding. First of all, let me say that I completely agree with every other part of this new update except for the aforementioned CE costs and binding, but the binding of 4 and 5* equipment bothers me the most.
So... I get the reasoning behind why the Devs decided to make it so we can no longer trade 4 and 5* gear. My understanding is that those who were willing to pay lots of real money to buy CE had access to basically get strait to an "Endgame" setup of all 5* gear from the day they started playing. This makes the pacing of the game extremely quick for them (those in other forums have equated this to buying a high level Paladin in WoW from day one, which is kinda cheap) while leaving the rest of us who either only bought a little CE to start off or are completely F2P in the dust. By eliminating the ability to trade max star equipment, players with ludicrous amounts of cash can no longer get strait to the endgame, which I do find as an understandable concern for the Developers (since they obviously don't want all their players to "max out" so easily with the use of cash).
The issue behind this permanent binding of 4 and 5* gear is that the market for these weapons and armor that so many of us, myself included, have relied on in order to accumulate CE is now gone.
Now comes my proposal...
What if everyone could be happy? What if the Devs made it so that 5* gear was always permanently bound to a player, but made it so that 4* gear was still tradable after upgrading it from 3*. This way, players would still have to work to craft their items up to 5*, effectively making it so that those with large wallets can't buy their way to max equipment, while still allowing the 4* item trade (specifically fausts/avengers/antiguas, which as of now make Jelly King runs mostly useless) to thrive.
Anyway, sorry for the wall of text here, but I just wanted to get this out of my system. Thoughts? Opinions? Could this compromise be a good workaround to allow the Devs to limit the pacing of the game while still allowing the rest of us to make some sort of profit?
Here's a better idea: roll back the patch entirely, then re-add just the Auction House.
JUST the Auction House.
