What if.....

Ok, so everyone seems pretty antsy about the increase CE cost to transmute, as well as the whole 4* and 5* binding. First of all, let me say that I completely agree with every other part of this new update except for the aforementioned CE costs and binding, but the binding of 4 and 5* equipment bothers me the most.

So... I get the reasoning behind why the Devs decided to make it so we can no longer trade 4 and 5* gear. My understanding is that those who were willing to pay lots of real money to buy CE had access to basically get strait to an "Endgame" setup of all 5* gear from the day they started playing. This makes the pacing of the game extremely quick for them (those in other forums have equated this to buying a high level Paladin in WoW from day one, which is kinda cheap) while leaving the rest of us who either only bought a little CE to start off or are completely F2P in the dust. By eliminating the ability to trade max star equipment, players with ludicrous amounts of cash can no longer get strait to the endgame, which I do find as an understandable concern for the Developers (since they obviously don't want all their players to "max out" so easily with the use of cash).

The issue behind this permanent binding of 4 and 5* gear is that the market for these weapons and armor that so many of us, myself included, have relied on in order to accumulate CE is now gone.

Now comes my proposal...

What if everyone could be happy? What if the Devs made it so that 5* gear was always permanently bound to a player, but made it so that 4* gear was still tradable after upgrading it from 3*. This way, players would still have to work to craft their items up to 5*, effectively making it so that those with large wallets can't buy their way to max equipment, while still allowing the 4* item trade (specifically fausts/avengers/antiguas, which as of now make Jelly King runs mostly useless) to thrive.

Anyway, sorry for the wall of text here, but I just wanted to get this out of my system. Thoughts? Opinions? Could this compromise be a good workaround to allow the Devs to limit the pacing of the game while still allowing the rest of us to make some sort of profit?

Here's a better idea: roll

Here's a better idea: roll back the patch entirely, then re-add just the Auction House.

JUST the Auction House.

"JUST the Auction House."You

"JUST the Auction House."

You forgot the upload fix (if it actually fixed my problem, didn't play past reading the patch notes in my mail). That's a good patch.

As usual, take the opposite

As usual, take the opposite of what Magnus posts and you have good, solid advice.

Just the AH? I love the training hall, it gives me a place where i can battle stuff without having to spend energy and set others aflame without catching some flak. So if they do roll back the update, i say they should add back the AH AND the Training hall. Have you ever been low on energy? You probably haven't, seeing the obscene amount of CE i see in your vids, but the Training Hall is a fun place you can access WITHOUT paying energy. Get my point?

The training hall lacks more

The training hall lacks more content as well as teaching players how to repel with the shield. I could care less if it stays or goes. It's really just kinda there.

Magnus, you mean shield

Magnus, you mean shield bumping right? There is a whole little section devoted to that. Little robots appear and there is a tooltip and everything. It's on the right, in the middle.

Really hung up about shield

Really hung up about shield bumping hey?

Also, OP that's how three rings make a lot of money, that's how a lot of F2P models work. Those that invest large hours, generally sell their wares to people who have a lot of cash but not much time, keeping things even. This model just makes it so you buy energy or spend a couple of weeks to obtain one piece of gear.

I'd have to agree with

I'd have to agree with Magnus. If I could do anything about this patch, I'd roll it back and include just the auction house.

Almost everything I find there is a 2 star weapon that people are selling (without UV) in the hopes of recovering a small portion of their crown cost for crafting rather than selling for garbage to the NPCs. This is ridiculous. The community wanted the auction house to sell high level gear they crafted and low level gear that has UVs.
