Fire Crystals / Forging is stupid.
It's like impossible to get heat level 10 for tier 5 weapons, I quit.
1. Super low-chance of working
2. Takes too many heat crystals
3. A lot of people find it annoying you have to grind just to GET ONE OF THE BONUS FEATURES (heat)
Heat should be free, like in classic SK
Your quitting because of the forge system and how heat works and things like that? That is pathetic. Also if you quit in the past, why did you come back?
Congrats on deciding to quit the game again. We don't give a [beep]. These changes were actually acceptable to most of the SK players. You just have crappy luck with heat crystals.
p.s. Doing clockworks runs gets you a ton of heat crystals. OOO is encouraging us to branch out from the regular FSC grinding and play more with friends.
Why does everyone who has to quit have to make a thread about it?
Anyway, the forge system although stupid is there for two reasons:
If you don't understand what I mean, you can take hours grinding for those Orbs, Sparks of Life, and even the Fire Crystals just to get one thing.
-or-
You can purchase Crystal Energy (I know the name was changed but still calling it this) and get everything you need within a matter of minutes.
just do vana. if you want 4* fire crystals spam rotting metropolis elite you get 10-15 from that, and some sparks and orbs

You're quitting because they took back a free feature that ultimately has little impact on damage numbers and is actually STILL FREE if you're patient, but neglecting to realize that they GAVE US FREE ELEVATORS.

I do miss the old heat system forging is so freaking stupid I hate it. They need to at least make the % of getting your weapon/armor/shield/etc to actually level up :( but I do like the free elevaters and how easy it is to craft things even though they lowered that drop count too -.- anyways see you later dued I feel ya a lot of people quit for that reason and the interface that I am still trying to get used to.

I'm working on Heating Mighty Cobalt for Almirian Crusader. The Arcade runs I'm doing are actually (albeit slowly) replenishing the Fire Crystals I need to heat them.
Cry moar.
The forging system may be annoying but it feels so good afterwards when I got a 4-star weapon to lvl 10 and then crafted the 5-star variation of it. Might be because I never used a 5-star weapon until the forging system came, lol.
(And it feels especially good to get a forge box)
If the heat/forge system annoys you that much, or anyone for that matter, quitting because of it is something I'd support. I HATE the new heat system; it is so darn bad for 4* and 5* stuff, even way worse for when you have to heat multiple stuff.
I would have quitted, well even more then before, if pretty much everything else added made up for it and for the fact that I already had everything I wanted heated from before the update... crafting one of the guns I was missing (Valiance) was a HUGE pain in the bum for me to the point I doubt I'll get more weapons or armors.
No just mail your armor and your guns and bombs to me, and all yer 5* mats and Shadow stones, shadow orbs and shadow stars. Give the rest to everyone else. Thanx. No one will miss you and this thread will probably get locked. Bye

Funnily enough I love this kind of thing in a game. Im glad that most of my equips are already top leveled, but i also like this new overhaul. Its interesting
No one cares that you are leaving. No one cares. Stop complaining. Whats wrong with you? Discourging everyone and making a thread for no apparent reason. NO ONE CARES. Your pointless whining will not be missed. OOO won't care because they are gaining about 4 players for evryone that is leaving. This just proves you are a pessimist and you can't deal with a minor setback. OOO has pretty much set back income to make us happy. If you don't apreciatte that yoou are ungrateful and the game is better without you.
While it is true that going easter egg hunting for heat crystals is somewhat tedious at times, there is more than enough good stuff that balances this out. Crafting has become a ton cheaper(thus somewhat counterbalancing the increased difficulty of leveling your gear), free elevators for everyone(yays!), the stupid energy revive has been gone for... an equally stupid revive that at least doesn't cost a fortune anymore, they gave us a material sink, the whole inconvenience of mist has been largely removed, due to the unimportance of energy now everything is statistically speaking much cheaper...
I gave this game another chance after having been bored a tad, and the new updates really gave the game a needed fresh wind. While certain things stay questionable, it has been a largely successful overhaul and I look forward on what OOO is going to do with it.
If i learned anything from drama-queen leavers, then that either they come back a few weeks later or they stay gone and nobody ever remembers them past the first day. This is a hard, cold fact. So stop bothering us with your begging for pity, either man up or get out without a sound. There's the door, after all.

You're just not optimizing your loot drops. Playing Elite difficulty has the highest yield for Crystals, and they fall into your lap like rain. Given that you can earn so many, that should compensate the fact it "takes too many".

You always have the option of outputting max Fire Crystals in exchange for a 100% guaranteed level up and a chance for the 25% heat bonus, Double Level up, and Forge Prize Box. Don't claim a system flaw because you're lazy to give it your best shot.

The only way to get heat is by fighting in the clockworks, which required energy to activate elevators before the patch so if anything, heat was not essentially free till after the recent patch, albeit that you could use mist energy back then but it hardly sufficed. In which either case heat is more free than ever, your ability to progress with it is simply hindered.
Goodbye. I just hope that next people in the MMO you play can tolerate your pessimistic logic.

I agree that the new heat system it annoying, but it's not worth quitting over. Hell, When I took a long break after the Shard Slaughter^tm, that wasn't even the reason, though I admit it was a reason I lost some interest.
I started a new knight from scratch and I haven't had any trouble at all playing ONLY on Elite difficulty. In fact, the only times I've touched my fairly sizable stockpile of CE for crystals was simply because I didn't feel like going back in the Clockworks for more. Crown output is great, Loot is okay, not a huge fan of the recipe changes yet (Had everything for my demo set, then went to craft it and discovered that only like one thing from the old recipe is still valid).
But still, the Forge is no reason to quit the game. I was lambasting it as soon as I read the patch notes but after starting over, it isn't that bad. The only thing I'm kicking myself over is missing my free Aegis and Levi skins from the Honor promo.
OOO has completely altered the way they profit from this game in order to favor the players downhearted by not being able to play the game as much as they please.
The forge system allows you to make weapons with work, and the supply depot lets you get them with CE, which is what OOO sells to pay for the servers.
There is a time to complain and a time to be happy that a company is actually considering the players.
This is not the former.
If you're leaving over not being handed everything on a silver platter when you have already been handed the majority, don't let the door hit you on the way out. People will replace you.

the forge is the new cost to worry/complain about. before it was ce.
now, as much as I think that the forge system is ok in functionality, it costs too much. I'm heating a DVS at max crystals and it sucked out 250 up to now (level 7). I want that forge prize box and I don't want to fail. with the next weapons I won't use max, but it's still 100-150 crystals per weapon, not counting fails.
Big deal, a guy quits becuz he doesn't like the new forging/heating system now stop posting and put this in the graveyard already D:\

I gathered at least 30 Radiant Fire Crystals on my last Tier 3 run on Advanced difficulty. Not to mention all the 5* materials and about 6,500 Crowns.
It's really not as bad as you think.
Leaving? Quitting? Who the hell gives a flyin shizzle?! NO ONE! unless you're planning on giving away your shinies and all that. So, in that case, have fun finding another game even REMOTELY good as this one.

Hoarding heat crystals to get level 10 4 star weapons is annoying AF.
It's a stupid concept all-to-gether, heat was originally a bonus feature.
