Am wondering - other than the description at the beginning of the level (eg stating it is shock or fire theme) n the 'totem' pole at the arcade ground, is there any other ways of knowing what is the status effect theme on that level ?

Am considering making a balanced chaos set, augmented with trinkets.

Open the gate map and look at the icons. Red backgrounds are fire-themed, white backgrounds are freeze-themed, green backgrouns are poison-themed and blue backgrounds are shock-themed.

Hi Leeroyj, Remember Me?

With two 5* Status trinkets AND the Battle Sprite Perks, you should be able to get at least one status back into the positive, and one almost neutral.

Theoretically, with the right

Theoretically, with the right amount of luck, with the appropriate trinkets, n pokemons, a balanced chaos set is doable. Statistically. I have now spent 750k rolling on uv, with nothing to show for it. I'm just buying uv high, n trying to roll another medium, on a 2 uv ticket. I may stop at a million crowns, or maybe not. Depending on if I develop a gambling problem. Lol.

Trying to remember u, drop me a message in-game. Thanks :)

Best thing to do is pair it

Best thing to do is pair it with a Divine Veil, in my opinion.it balances the negatives. Plus the free Halo and fiend med. xD

my two cents

If you are great at dodging, or if you have status UVs, then Chaos is obviously wonderful. However, if you're using your trinket slots for status, then you're losing an offensive opportunity there, so maybe Chaos isn't advantageous, right? It depends on how many weapon types (sword, gun, bomb) you are using, I guess.

Before mist energy vanished, a lot of people were mass-crafting Magic gear. Maybe you can buy a decent UV and upgrade it to Chaos?

To add to what Zeddy said: You can interpret the level icon background color. For more detail, see the wiki page "Gate". But you can also interpret the level name, which is also displayed in the gate map, if you missed it at the start of the level. The status theme of your level should never be a mystery.

Besides stun from big enemies, you won't find more than 1 status at a time on the arcade (some special missions differ).
You can wear half chaos, half a piece of appropiate defense (skolver on freeze levels, vog for fire, etc)

Weakness to everything is scary, but no enemy deals 'everything' at once.

@Juances
Just to prove you wrong you can get stun, shock, and fire all in FSC which happens to be in the arcade. UFSC which is also in the arcade, offers stun, shock, fire, and curse. Sorry.

@OP
But seriously now, the only statuses you need to block are fire and shock. Freeze, you just need a shield to block the next attack that breaks you out.

Unless its a lumber chain

Unless its a lumber chain freezing you. Or a couple. Or an arenas worth.

And may the cradle help you if you're alone without a maskeraith.

Appreciate the comments from

Appreciate the comments from Bopp, Juances & Demonicsothe

currently, i have 7 sets, & most of the trinkets. i been considering getting the chaos set for pragmatic reasons (mostly hybrid - sword, gun & bomb), aesthetics reasons (cos color is purple), and obsessive reasons (gotta get them all !). previously, i decided against getting it cos im terrible at dodging & i realize i do have most of the necessary trinkets (though the twinkets only get me to very high UV, & only for one weapon type). But a few weeks back, i also realize that, like Juances say, "Weakness to everything is scary, but no enemy deals 'everything' at once". So, i figured i could, like Bopp say, buy a decent UV (eg high UV) - & then try to roll on a 2 UV ticket (currently spent 75K - nothing to show for it, not even a medium status UV). So, I decided to lower my expectations, and just stick to my high freeze on hood, high freeze on cloak, & try to roll out a medium each (eg shock, fire) on hood and cloak, then run a couple of fsc, & just complete my collection.

AND THEN THE FIVE LETTERS F-WORD HAPPENED.

i almost died, trying to heat up a 4* helm for just ONE level. i failed, TWICE, when i did not forge at 100%. omg. The thought of heating up a hood AND cloak from 2*, when i dont play all that much is really putting me off. Previously, i did not play enough to even finish 100 mist. i guess to round it up, a part of me realizes it is likely to just be another set sitting around in my closet. Currently, im running around with Divine Veil & Skolver. i really like the all-round defence. sigh. guess Chaos Set will be the one that got away ...
