I believe it is safe to say that the server is divided into parts:
A. Those who have no idea how to play the game.
B. Those who don't understand the concept of economics.
C. The smart arses that think they can start a revolt. i.e. the people that scream 'EVERYBODY LEAVE THE GAME!' and 'DON'T BUY CE!'
D. The smart people.
I'm not trying to be self-conceited nor degrading toward other people, but let's face it: the general population of Spiral Knights players.. have no clue what they're doing.
First off, yes, Three Rings did screw up with the patch update. However, this is not even close to being a reason to spam the server and forums with these stupid posts expecting people to leave and not buy CE. It is definitely getting out of hand.
Secondly, you cannot expect Three Rings to simply revert everything back to normal, they did this patch expecting to amplify YOUR gameplay. If you really think Three Rings did this patch for their own material wealth, you are gravely mistaken.
Third, "starving" the company will do you no good. If you don't buy CE, eventually the CE supply will dry up. If it dries up, then the price of CE will skyrocket. You only benefit those who take advantage and buy CE to resell it for insane prices.
Finally, those of you who made millions of forum posts and topics on the forums, just.. stop. There is a function called the Suggestion Box, and I suggest that you start using it. The amount of irrelevant topics in the General Discussion topic about the patch is absurd. If you don't like the patch, great, there really is no need to rub it in Three Rings's face and 'revolt'. I'm pretty sure that they get the point, repeating the same comments over and over doesn't help the situation. Again as I previously stated, they cannot just make everything as it was, hours after the patch. I believe they must go through some process in which they discuss their faults in the patch, then react accordingly.
In summary: Learn to be PATIENT
Although, I do feel bad for those who truly suffered from this patch. i.e. the people whom had 'businesses' crafting and then selling premade items. You have my condolences.
You can hate this post all you want, in the end, an opinion is just an opinion.
I'd like to hear your thoughts.
Telling everyone to stop is just as pointless as raging about the changes. It's common for any change to upset a number of players, this change caught people unaware and completely destroyed a huge portion of the player run economy. This changes seem designed to force more players into buying CE, but the implementation was heavy handed and poorly implemented. I'm interested to see what happens next in this game.
