It's in schedule that knights will open the core? Will we ever know who's under the shell of the core? Are we going to travel away from this clockwork hell to the real destination of the Skylark's voyage? Will we ever see our real destination? Will this game evolve over the limits of Craddle?

I don't want spoilers, I don't need opinions.. I only need a "YES" or a "NO" from the Devs.

Even a hint would be appreciated XD

if you want answers by the devs, you need to send a support mail.

I'm pretty sure that the official word is that the Core will never open, because then they would be obligated to end the game. Never mind the zillions of suggestions featuring cool ways to incorporate the Core into normal gameplay.

We don't need to open the core to see new levels/enemies/weapons/whatever.

All they have to do is find an excuse like earthquakes, meteorites, gremlin experiments, another spaceship with martians crashing, an underworld portal created by devilites, chromalisks evolving from sprite food, etc.

Yeah, I think they said years ago that it would be revealed eventually even.

There is definitely a creative way that they can get around opening the core, like for example, Sanctuary and other stuff hints at it releasing the swarm or something, so it would simply be a shift in content for a while ( the shift being, to the black and purpley stuff that we see in the shadow lairs ).

There's no harm in having new players go through levels that involve reaching the core, even after we have "opened it" or released the swarm etc. It isn't entirely lore breaking to do that, and a lot of games have things similar.

You know that they will do something. They have recent in the past months / past year been working on things like Danger Missions and battle sprites etc. because they are improving / tweaking the gameplay and things such as UI so it is overall a more comfortable feel to the game, and another thing is they have been trying to find a nice balance between players who want easier content / those who want more difficult content. Judging by being here for years and watching how things are developed, you can expect content to come next after they feel they hit a comfortable place in the gameplay / feel for this game. After all, think of it like a book. If the plot never progressed and you were left hanging for thousands of pages, would you keep reading? Since they are for-profit, you can definitely expect something; they have even hinted in Sanctuary.

We cannot even touch the Core. What would you expect? Even if we reach the Core, will we get the energy, leave, and maybe come back? If we don't come back then what monsters will we fight on the Skylark? Would we have traded out Brandishes to power the Skylark? Would the Skylark crash again if we wish to fight monsters that failed to board the Skylark? How will we get crowns for energy? Will we be on a new planet because the Skylark crashes again due to low energy? Will we crash again? Will we be stuck in the Skylark with no monsters to fight and stuck doing PvP all day? Where will the new recruits rise up and look to? How will we get more Minerals to feed our pets? How will we-

Okay I think I said enough. It may never happen. We all wish the Core was open to all of us and the Gremlins to take the energy freely. It COULD be lore-breaking if we get the energy, but if we can't get the energy then we will stay on Cradle.

We cannot leave.

I think the Knights will stay on Cradle when we open the Core. In some of the conversations with Kora, I remember her saying that the Knights "belong here" or something. I predict some great war or something that'll happen as more of the story gets revealed that we'll get roped into, Gurren Lagann style, with us and the Clockwork monsters versus the Swarm. I mean, we've encountered only one of the nine Crimson Order members after nearly 3 years. There's still a ways to go.

@Kamishinlnoyari: this is soooo Disney's ending..

However.. The GM said: "The game will continue to grow and evolve, that's for sure, and we'll learn
more about Cradle as we go." ..Obviously not a spoiler.. So I can be sure that Cradle is the eternal hell that will swallow (actually swallowed) the spiral knights..
