I'm expecting this to be more of a test than anything. Not only will it raise profits for OOO. I expected them to just reshell Prize Boxes over and over but this is much different.
They are up on sale now but this might be a test to make it into a more basic MMORPG where you can easily buy the accessories you want for higher prices. Raising the price of CE and being there for people who want it.
This gives younger players a more incentive to stick around and play (Accessories make money in any MMO) and we will most likely see a lot more later on be it rare accessories or just uncommon.

Even more rare items ruined
All SK sees their community as is cash cows. now any 10yr old with a $5 allowance can get what I saved and worked for... I quit.

Why do people buy accessories and then hold onto them? Greed.
Why does Three Rings create cashflow? Greed? I guess. But it's their job to obtain money from the players. That's how they earn their living.

More importantly, why are you so upset over your PURELY COSMETIC ITEMS being made public again? Hell, I'd be perfectly fine with them bringing back Tabards and Chapeaus, and I've been around from release.
This isn't craziness, it's a calculated tactic to make buying energy with real money mandatory again.
Hopefully it'll blow over after the sale ends, since in my opinion the ideal energy price for free players is between 6k and 7k crowns; doable, but annoying enough to make dipping into your wallet attractive. We finally reached that for the first time since launch with the the June 30th patch, and I don't want to see that thrown away.
