So, I wonder.. OOO must know that having rare (sort of) accessories on sale in the supply depot messes up the market.
You think it's on purpose?

So if you want my real take on it, not for laughs:

I think it differs from a regular promo in that this takes CE out of the player's market instead of bringing more in.
It also differs in devaluating existing things buy having them not be chance based.
I don't see why, since they would get money from a regular promo too.

There, for all of the people who took me a little serious, thinking I'm being elitist.

It's on purpose. Having rare stuff on Supply Depot makes people want to buy energy, which both sucks energy out of the market and increases real-money purchases. It's a win-win for Three Rings and a lose-lose for the players.

Why does it matter? Lots of people have been stating that you don't need energy to progress in the game anymore, everything can be obtained with crowns or grinding.

Honestly? I'm perfectly fine with this. Most of the stuff on sale is completely cosmetic.

Besides, accessories are supposed to promote diversity, not promote people having exclusive items that never appear again so they feel special for bad reasons.

I'm talking about making items not rare anymore. Even with promos most of these were a 5% chance.
It's expensive because there isn't much of them, it's wanted because they're rare. (people like to brag)
They've made wolver armour out of pris valks and in that destroyed a market.

I'm not biased cuz I don't want them, nor am I selling them.
Just looking into the why.

Wether you like it or not, people don't want to look like everybody else.
The best way to stay unique is wear things outside of most people's means.

Everything since the update feels to me like it's catered to newbies while screwing veterans over.

@draycos: I don't get why the people who put effort/maybe even real money in this game should be screwed over in favor of new players who didn't do anything.
It makes a [poop]-ton of sense from an economic OOO point though.

Tell that to the swarms of people wearing polo shirts with little logos on them, because buying it's "unique" and "luxurious" in a really uncreative and wasteful way. I bought a Starter Pack today and had no idea what to do with the extra 3000 energy I didn't need. Sold 2000 for 180k. I know I can buy more back when the prices go down after the sale, and they WILL go down.

Seems like OOO are changing their monetization model a bit. They're turning all the old promo items into a cosmetic shop of sorts, now that the whole crafting system isn't using energy as much.

Sure, I had a pair of pris drac wings I was holding onto and retroactively wish I had sold, but this is still for the best. Draycos gets it.

There is a feature auction for a Prismatic Halo the current bid is 1.3m crowns

Then they add prismatic halo to the supply depot for 4k CE...

40 x 8500(current price of CE) = 340,000k

Terrible Terrible Terrible. I feel so bad for the person who just got screwed.
