Wondering why all 3 skills share cd whenever I activate one. Like I have to wait 57 sec to use a 17 sec laser. Would it be too op if each were to have its own cool down?

Hmm

Just think of this, I could run cloak, run around safely with hexing haze out as well, this would sort of be op. When I first started using pets I hated the shared cooldown but now I understand why its in place.

@Wolfe-Knight

or they could make it when you use hexing haze it cancels out the cloaking ability, with the other sprites using multiple skills at once isnt really OP. Or better yet, have the skill you use have the full cooldown while the other skills have a 8-10 second downtime so they cant all be used at once.

Everyone maxed their skills in the order they came :P

My shadow cloak has a longer cooldown than hex instead.

In my feedback thread I'd discussed cooldowns with other people.

The general conclusion was that the current cooldown system should be changed so that using an ability only gives half of the normal cooldown for your other two skills. This is so they're not totally spammable or abusable, but still have some level of interaction between their abilities and impact on gameplay.

Wait so then why does each skill have a different cooldown?

Another option would be for each skill to share a common MP pool.

Can I sit down? The sky keeps swirling around.

#4 - No. I knew exactly what I was doing with my Sera, and did not put a single point in Ray of Light until both the other skills were maxed out.

Having said that, i think a 10 second global cooldown would be great. Activate one skill, and the other two are unusable for 10 seconds.

Or you could just lock the abilities until one was finished.

Post 7 has a good idea in my opinion. But how would you acquire mana?

@Blade-Of-Grass

I figure it could just regenerate over time. That'd make it the most similar to the current system.

What do humanoid knights have in common with mana exactly? Even some weird name like magnetic mist wouldn't do that well for me. Mana means magic energy. Only the Seraphinx has relations to the properties of magic. Everything else is sharp, giant, Skylark/star/darkness/Cooling Chamber/Blast Furnace/BttF powered, guns that use either energy or ammo, or bombs. Drakon and Maskerith are not related to magic nor use any enchanted gear. Putting gems on a harness and calling it elite simply doesn't make it enchanted.

It's a bar that gets drained when you use abilities, you're puting way too much stock into details that hold no meaning. Mana's just a general term for it. You can call it "energy" or "battery" if you'd like, and it'd make perfect sense because the official story already goes that our weapons draw energy from the air in the clockworks.

Using too many skills in succession would make your Sprite malfunction, duh! One skill makes it overheat, ergo it needs to go on cooldown for the full duration!

Now get off your lazy butts and hit stuff with your swords and your guns and stop worrying about cooldown management.
