I've been mostly inactive for the past 6 months or so on spiral knights. Each Update has just made me a little more angry, and with the latest promo (Pris halos for 4k ce in the supply depot), I've just had it. Back when this game was at its peak, I loved the accessory promos. I would spend hundreds of dollars on prize boxes or for instance the dragon wings promo. This was great, we were getting new accessories that were unique and interesting, and there were a select few that were extremely rare and thus very prestigious. That is probably what caused me to spend so much money. This was before the hunter promo, when things suddenly started getting lazier and lazier on Three Rings' part, and you could smell their desperation for money more and more each patch. I've slowly grown to hate this game, but this is just the last straw. Watching them take an item that people would save for months if not years, or spend hundreds of dollars on, and turn that item into a 4k-ce everyone-can-have-one type of item, is just insulting. I feel like I have been targeted and punished for contributing a large amount of money to their company. I know I can'e be the only one who feel like this is the last straw, as when I logged on today, I saw a swarm of players selling off all of their valuable gear out of fear that it will become worthless in the very near future. Sure Three Rings, you got a good payday today, people are stocking up and buying tons of ce. But at the same time, all you've done is make me and I would assume most players afraid to ever spend money again on your game out of fear that you will devalue their items to the ground. You've basically destroyed your game's economy in one fell swoop just for a quick payday. So, good job, you've alienated yet another devoted player. Give yourself a pat on the back.
