I've had a bomber alt for some time, and have been using it just to mess around, and then more recently started using it because I didn't like Mask that much.
Then I used my giant stash of CR to renovate this bomber alt, and now it's at 4*.
With an Irontech Bomb.

Which is...
Gremlin-proof
Beast-proof
Nearly undead-proof (that is, if you don't mistime Kats)
Pretty much slime-proof
Almost construct-proof.

Sadly, I can't say anything for Fiends. Anyway, that's what parties are for, right?

So here it is. The Irontech Bomb Appreciation Thread, for those who have this bomb and believe it isn't loved enough. And anyone who dislikes this bomb just doesn't respect its incredible machismo.

Post below anything you'd like to let anyone else know about this bomb, and also how awesome Stun is as a status when you put some knockback on it.

Using it with MSI +4 is absolutely beautiful.

This bomb does so much lump damage that it'll kill T3 Gremlins (S5, Normal difficulty, solo [maybe otherwise too?]) without their being able to put up their bubble shield, which'll take all non-DR bombers a while to remove. Basically, this bomb ensures a safe, child-friendly, Mender-free environment for the rest of your party.

My absolute favorite use for

My absolute favorite use for my Irontech Destroyer is in the 'Unknown Passage'. Have 4 party members with the blast bomb line, preferably BAB or ID, and you'll be pretty much be in a little guardian shield. Everything that happens to stumble into the blast radius is -BABOOM- gone. Especially for the last part of the 'Unknown Passage', you can just stand at the gate and the seed and just keep placing bombs.

With the advent of the charge bars, I discovered that Irontech does indeed have a charge time somewhere in-between BAB and Nitronome. In practice, this means that if you have one player spamming one of each as fast as they can, you get an asynchronous blast pattern that nearly guarantees nothing gets through.

In Lockdown, that's often enough to make people simply give up trying to capture a point.

But you DO need two people - I've tried (briefly) to use the Irontech Bomb in Lockdown, but have discovered that, even with CTR Max, there's still enough time for a (skilled) person in Skolver with a Gran Faust to boost in and slap you silly between blasts.

That's not to say that it doesn't discourage the vast majority of people from going into the radius. Far from it. People stay outside the radius and spam Brandish charges into it.

Two people with a little MSI and Irontech Destroyers? Sweet, I guess.

@Raisinfist

I agree with you. Perhaps I explained it a bit badly. Here's the idea:

One person uses Irontech.
The other uses Nitro.

The pattern of explosions are now very hard to predict. If someone starts harassing with guns, one of the bombers probably have the opportunity to cloak and backstab without anyone noticing them.

@Zeddy

Now you're talking. Fancy meeting up? Bomber alt's name is Squashslurper. Bring a Nitro :P

Oh, and I have a backup Plasma Capacitor in case things go wrong.

In other notes:
Its slow charge-walking speeds allow you to taunt teammates who are lagging behind. ;P

Irontech seems like a great

Irontech seems like a great bomb, but I still prefer nitronome.
