The title says it all.
Can't you guys do something about Hunting Blade/Wild Hunting Blade?they're not as good as other Piercing weapons.not even close.
The WHB is not as good as piercing weapons? I think not! When's the last time you went around killing Giant Lichen Colonies and Gun Puppies with your Final Flourish?
Try using it paralell to Caustic Quills to kill everything in one combo.
I'm just a little disappointed when using it to fight beast.I know that it inflicts normal damage so its a good all around sword but I'm quite unsatisfied with the damage against beasts.thats all. :D
I have an ff and whb both lvl 10, and I must say I prefer whb over ff for beasts. The only time I use ff is against fiends.
You have to remember that if a skolver set gives +100 odd damage per swing to the WHB that's a total of 500 extra damage per combo, a skolver set. On an ff will only give a +300 damage bonus per combo.
Whb sucks to begin with but once it gets max damage it surpasses other swords.
Also WHB is totally badass and looks awesome

I hear this argument a lot, and there may be a little truth to it, but the data just don't support it. Here is a comparison of various swords against beasts (damage+6, ASI+0, depth 24, based on the Lancer Knightz data):
* Wild Hunting Blade: 22 combos/minute * 1,350 damage/combo * 1/60 minutes/second = 495 damage/second.
* Dread Venom Striker: 24 * 1,350 * 1/60 = 540 (ignoring poison!).
* Final Flourish: 33 * 1,068 * 1/60 = 587.
* Leviathan: 31 * 873 * 1/60 = 451.
* Acheron: 31 * 1,073 * 1/60 = 554.
* Combuster: 31 * 656 * 1/60 = 339.
So, yes, WHB is significantly outperformed by other swords, even at large levels of damage bonus. A similar phenomenon would happen at large levels of ASI and damage bonus, since ASI affects all swords pretty evenly.
Edit: Added Acheron and Combuster.
But that's the point. CiV isn't as good as an elemental brandish either.
The idea is to have a weapon that's a little better against some enemies without major weakness to others.
WHB has extra damage against beasts, but can still deal with constructs and jellies, unlike flourish.

I was specifically responding to Xephyris' comment that "Whb sucks to begin with but once it gets max damage it surpasses other swords." Clearly it doesn't even surpass DVS, except in charge interruption. Even Acheron out-damages WHB against beasts (see edit above). And most of the elemental swords are actually normal+elemental. The damage that they do against gremlins and beasts is poor but not terrible (see Combuster above). And here are two other points that you already know well, but I'll make them anyway:
A. Beasts are certainly the easiest monster family in the game, ever since the wolver AI was nerfed. I don't even really pay attention when fighting them. Why would anyone optimize his loadout for this family?
B. This is why we carry multiple weapons --- so that we don't have to use piercing against constructs and slimes.
guess I'm keeping my Hunting Blade..I'll see what happens..thanks guys. :D
The Hunting Blade and the Wild Hunting Blade aren't actually Piercing weapons (though, in my opinion, they should be), so it would be incorrect to say "as good as other Piercing weapons."
A simple change could be to buff the damage so that the Wild Hunting Blade's Beast damage bonus was increased in the way that it would make its DPS against Beasts higher than the Final Flourish, but the Flourish's DPS against Fiends higher.
