I'm not asking to split a radiant fire crystal into 10 shining fire crystal or anything like that, just let me take an eternal orb of alchemy and, like, smash it on a table to turn it into a flawed orb of alchemy or something. I enjoy the new crafting system and its purpose, but I don't feel compelled to craft new stuff when I'm being forced to run two specific depths I'm far beyond being challenged by in order to do so.
Allow us to downgrade our orbs of alchemy and fire crystals

Wouldn't this just mean everyone goes back to fsc for the crowns and heat and the orbs/crystals to downgrade to craft with?
The only reason to run clockworks would be to feed pets. And doing fsc gets you a full appetite. Sure you could be wasting some, but not a big deal.

I dunno, man. Right now depths 22-29 in the arcade give the same kind of crystals and orbs as FSC does. It's where I've been picking up all those orbs.
Any FSC solution that discourages running regular T3 arcade is no solution in my eyes.

I think the orbs and fire crystals should only be able to downgraded once though.
Two radiant fire crystals would turn into one forged shining fire crystal. Forged crystals are more delicate than natural crystals, therefore they can not be broken down anymore.
The same should go for orbs. One for the price of two.
The reason why crystals should not be allowed to be downgraded more than once is so that people won't go back to constantly farming FSC.

I agree wholeheartely!
Either a 1-to-1 downgrade as previously suggested, or allow us to use 5* crystals on 4* items, or 4* crystals on 3* items, etc. (only as an optional checkbox on the forge window, to avoid accidentally using higher-star-level crystals).
Maybe so. My problem with this is that all the pros of running the Arcade are removed because FSC on Elite has the best loot and you'd get it the fastest there.
