My name is Yahtzee. I am 16 years old, and I love to play MMORPG's. I used to play this game called 'Spiral Knights' until something strange happened to me. It was August 2011 and I was browsing the SEGA forums for updates/info for the upcoming Sonic Generations. I noticed an advertisement of Spiral Knights and since I loved MMORPG's, I decided to try that game out. After a few days, I was addicted to the game, it reminded me of Legend of Zelda : A Link to the past and boy, I almost felt I played the game 24/7, I was finding better gear, getting crowns, and playing some Arcade. I was totally into the game and I just couldn't stop playing it, there was a friendly and mature community out there, who were willing to help me out, Then came out PvP and I was totally addicted to it. I've faced legendary people such as Chris and Magnus. After an year, I got bored of the game and decided to take a break.
(Fast-forward August 2013)

After I've came to know about the battle sprites, I decided to come back to the game. There were certain missions we had to do to pick up our battle sprite.
I chose the Maskeraith, because I likes the evil expression of that thing and somehow reminded me of Metaknight. I was really into the pet and gave me a nostalgia feeling of my old days when I used to play the Chao Garden in 'Sonic Adventure 2'. As it grew up, I found it a bit hard to keep up with it, since it was wanting more and more since time passed. But still, I'm not going to give up until I make it Level 100. After 8 days of constantly feeding the pet, it reached level 100. And wow, it looked badass. with those huge arms and those awesome looking horns with some manly expressions, I was loving this thing. I was tired and I took a break from the game.

I decided to open Spiral Knights again, so our guild wanted to do an arcade run without the help of sprites. I thought it would be fun and decided to go. I unequipped my Maskeraith while in the ready room only to find that a shadowy figure of my Maskeraith appeared behind my Knight. I thought it was just a glitch and decided to move on. Until I noticed I couldn't click anything, not even quit the game. After a while the game crashed and I decided to take off my power plug and put it back on. After opening the computer, I saw a strange .txt file on the desktop with the name of "Donotclickifyouvalueyourlife". The curious person I was, I decided to open it up. Only to find strange gibberish language. I decided to convert it into a .BMP file and I had the surprise of my life. I saw a picture of a dead Drakon and Seraphynx, with a lit candle in the background and two evil eyes staring at me. I was horrified. The Drakon looked like he was choking in death unable to fight the Maskeraith. I thought this was bull**** and decided to delete all this and have a good nights sleep. Well, if only it was good. I had nightmares of the Maskeraith haunting me.

I came back to Spiral Knights trying to forget all that happened yesterday. I went on a guild FSC run with my Maskeraith. Now strange things started to happen to me. Whenever I killed an enemy, I lost 4 bars of my HP. And instead of attacking the enemy, My Maskeraith attacked me. I was getting a bit twitchy now, I told this problem to my guildmates and they never responded. I tried telling them gibberish and other nonsense but they still wouldn't respond to me. I tried whispering to them but still no reply. I was shivering inside, I decided to restart Spiral Knights only to find that my other two sub-accounts were deleted and the name of my Knight was turned into 'Death'. I was horrified. I wanted to leave but my curious hands decided to open up my Knight. My guildmates and friends were constantly PMing me saying "There is no escape. You'll never get out of this alive..." and "It's time to give up your fate, Yahtzee." I wondered how my guildmates knew my real name... Things were looking bad for me. After a while, I heard the reverse tune of the Lockdown Music with an evil background to it, and wow. Was that tune scary. I was feeling nauseous and decided to quit the game, until I saw my Desktop background changed into a Maskeraith's face. Not the one without an expression, this one was with a smile, a haunted creepy smile. I pulled off the power plug but the computer wouldn't shut off, I was feeling scared and I wanted to hug my parents now. After a watch at the nervy Maskeraith a text appeared saying "Don't you want to play with me?" By this time I gathered courage and took a blunt hammer and smashed the computer and throw it out. throw it out into oblivion. I was scared stiff, my nerves were tingling all around and I just wanted my parents here, I decided to take a sleep now. But whenever I sleep, I dream of the evil face of the maskeraith haunting me.
