My First Fan Fiction, surrounding a knight based off my own, and true to the title, his memories. For helping people see what's he's like, he's tall, indigo, wearing a Chapeau and Tabard of the Blue Rose, with Prismatic Wings on the back with a Prismatic Wolver Tail. I'll leave you the read the rest of the story to see what he's got in store. For the Parentheses at the top of every chapter, those are music suggestions for you to play while reading.
Memories of the Dead Gunner
(Memory Sounding Music, such as Treasured Memories)
I was shooting and slashing with my Peacemaker and Divine Avenger. The Gremlins fell down to my weapons easily, along with their Construct allies. I used my unique ability to use the energy around me in different ways, so I over rid the security system and unlocked all of the gates. However I spotted a speeder bike and I juiced it up. I was about to take off, leaving the charges to blow and bring down the place when I saw a baby Wolver, a poison rune on her back, deeming the creature unfit to die like that, I grabbed and shot the wall. The bike got me out of the factory as it was blown where no one would ever find it. I looked at the pup in my arms, and I said, "Bella."
(Dark, yet light music)
I looked at Bells, pacing like she was waiting. Opening my other eye, I said, "What, Something wrong?" The Wolver looked and said, "The energy isn't right for the area. I mean, come on, it's been too quite recently, and this is the Clockworks for crying out loud!?"
"I sometimes forget you can talk. Besides, I don't feel anything different."
"You're getting old."
"Please, the crash was ten years ago and we've been done here for seven, everything's fine, the Order thinks I'm dead. Everything's fine!"
"Are you okay Tech? The Skylark crash was only a couple of months ago, and we've been down here for a week. The Order thinks you're on leave. The Clockwork Wars are still going on. What has happened to you?"
"No you're wrong. All the major enemies are dead, and I've got time to rot done here. Tier three is here to stay!"
"Tech! Snap out of it! This is right out of the Snarbolax's lair! This is the mission you've been waiting for! A chance to prove that all your training and experience payed off! All your swords and guns have been given to you for this very reason! Listen to me Tech! We have to do this!"
"No, Bells. Something happened to me, while you were just a pup. I, I, I lost something important. I'm going to open a portal into the Underworld, and I'm going to live in there. Atonement. I'm sorry."
"Then I'll help you."
"You don't have to do this."
"Yes, I do. You saved me from the Gremlins. I can't leave the Clockworks, or Cradle for the manner, but I can still help you."
"Thanks. You won't regret this."
"Hey look, the battle sprites are back."
"Along with an army of zombies."
And my words rang true, a horde of dust zombies were running along the road. I said, "We've got to get out of here! Quickly, battle sprites! Get in the bike!" "Wait, Tech. There's a squad in there, fighting. We can't leave them." "Perhaps they can help me. Dark Squad, charge!"
(Dark Battle Music)
I shot enemies from my speeder bike and dropped down, my battle sprites where working there way to take on the zombies by weakening them with there abilities along with Bell's. Where I was shooting the zombies, holding they're attention until they rescued the knights. I get gunning the waves down, only for more to fill the ranks. "Don't care if there's nearly endless. These things are going to die, and by my hand. Fitting, for what they did to my squad, I should have the right to destroy every last of their numbers. End of the road." I thought. And I jumped backwards and unleashed two charge attacks, a golden eagle and a purple owl. They opened a gap in-between myself and the group of knights, I saw one taking aim at Bell's and I shot the gun. The shot missed, but the green knight got the message. "No one shoots my girl." I thought. The gap was filled with more zombies. I then continued my twelve round volley.
(Kill Music)
Soon all of the zombies were dead, with so many people working on killing them. I walked over to the group of knights, Bell's lying down. I said, "Which one of the three of you are in charge?" However a red knight said, with a Blitz Needle, "Tech? Is that you? Is that really you? It's me! Rhendon! We worked together a bit ago! How have you been?"
"Rhendon? Never thought I'd see you again, considering you planned on helping out recruits only. Why the change to tier three?"
"Don't know what your talking for depth, but I finally found my son. Tech, meet Edgar." He pulled over the young purple knight, "He's a guardian. He's the main reason we lasted so long, with a sword master father. Also," He pointed to the green knight, "this is James. He's our dis-abler. Uses status-inflicting guns. Good man. Anyway, we we're on our way to kill the Snarbolax. You know the way through the clockworks, because our batteries died."
"Yeah, it's right through a fiendish city. Let's team up to kill this thing. Oh and, Rhendon, take my Drakon battle sprite, Drako, Edgar, my Seraphynx, Angela, and James, my Maskeraith, Posion. I'll keep my E-Class, Mech. Dark Squad, move out."
(Soft, Light Music)
A silver knight wearing a White Rose Set, Divine Halo, Divine Wings, and a Divine Wolver tail walked down the streets of a fiendish city, dual Argent Peacemakers in hand. When he reached a huge summoning area he saw a portal of darkness, completely black and oval like, with wisps of darkness coming off it. He said, "The Guardian's words were true." And he walked through.
(Fiendish Battle Music)
As we fought our way through all of the Devilites, I noticed a large amount of dark energy was around me. After clearing out a group of them, I bent down and examined the runes they made in the ground. I used my enhanced smell and sense to identify the rune. I said, "Summoning rune, one-way. It seems they are bringing more of their cohorts here. But there must be something one the other side, a gate-way, a nexus, a great power, that's letting these portals function. I wonder if I could harness that power..." However Bells walked over to me and said, "You don't have to do this. And you don't need that power." "Maybe, maybe so. And yet," It was then that we proceeded too fight our way through the city until we reached what seemed to be some sort of huge summoning area.
(Dark, Creeping Music)
I said, "Wait, this isn't right." And Bells said, "Something's coming." Then a wave of light purple energy was shot out from the center of the area. More and more came, each one slightly darker and faster, until it was crescendo of power. I saw a huge wave of dark, almost black energy with a curse emblem on it hit me. I heard static, and I was blinded, I could only see darkness. Slowly my vision came back. I saw a huge Trojan was there, dormant, as a dead one, kneeling towards his sword. Pink energy raced up onto him, bringing back to life the lost soul. He gained the appearance of a tier one Trojan. He got up and pulled his sword out of the ground, no shield. I said, "Dark Squad! Charge!" And we all took different positions to face the Trojan. However I heard cries for help as we all were held in the air by pink energy. I used my abilities to break myself and the other free. Though try as we might, we failed to actually damage the huge warrior. However as he was about to smash Edgar, the young guardian quivering with fear, I used dark energy to knock the Trojan away. it stumbled and lost it's impressive sword. I granted all of my allies dark energy to their attacks, the Trojan was dead and kneeling the same way as before, left knee raised high. However more pink energy, a bit of a darker hue, race back up onto him. He gained a impressive shield, and his sword and armor were transformed, into a tier two Trojan. However his raised his sword high and called down dark pink lighting, which cursed my allies. While Bells was tending to them, her immune to all status affects, I tried to figure out how to stop the lighting. I was hit with a bolt and I tasted the power, the power of a true darkness warrior. I forced all of the bolts to converge on me, and I fired on huge bolt of dark pink energy into the chest of the Trojan. Once again he lost all of his energy, returning to stone. However purple energy raced up onto him again, and he became a tier three Trojan. All of my allies were trapped in dark purple bubbles. This time he pointed his sword at me, and he sent a beam of dark energy right at me, this time I was prepared, and I gathered all of the energy from the beam into myself, and I released it at the Trojan. However he was already dead, the energy dissipated before it hit him. All of my allies were free, and I said, "What the heck was that thing." However my question was answered by a voice in the air, deep and dark. "I am the guardian of the depths. I alone hold the key to the Underworld. I alone was forced to leave my post and was summoned here. By you. When I released the last of my energy into the beam, my mind had been stolen by you collecting the energy. But now, free, I have all my powers once more. Say goodbye, for not even oblivion can hid you now." And black energy with a purple curse emblem on it flowed, not raced, into him, not onto. He gained a armor that was as black as night, his chest had a purple curse emblem on it, the shield had a red upside down crown, and the sword was now covered in red gems, the souls of the dead and evil. He lost the mo-hawk mane, and four large purple crystals were scattered to his arms and legs. I used my guns to shoot all of the crystals until they broke. It was then my allies all disappeared. A thick, black fog and darkness filled the air, making it next to impossible to see. I felt three heavy sword strokes strike me. I felt close to death, but then I absorbed all of the energy around me, and unleashed a massive explosion. When the darkness cleared, I saw all of my allies were lying down in front of the dead Trojan. I took one shot at the statue and it shattered. The Guardian of the Depths said, "It has begun." Before the orb of darkness faded away. Other then an extraordinary amount of crowns and high level materials, there was only one other thing inside the remains. A small red and gold orb. I picked it up and used my abilities to crack it open. Two swords appeared, along with two small coins, one was red and had an upside down crown on it, and the other was golden and had a right-side up crown on it. However a portal opened. Two men walked out. One was wearing a White Rose set, personal color white, Divine Halo, Divine Wings, and a Divine Wolver Tail, the other was in a Black Rose Set, personal color black, Volcanic Halo, Volcanic Wings, and a Volcanic Wolver Tail. The black one picked up the red sword also with the upside down crown, the red coin, and took my Sentenza, Gran Faust, and Dread Skelly. The one in white took the gold sword, the gold coin, and my Argent Peacemaker, Divine Avenger, and Grey Owlite. The said in eerie unison, "Thank you for your help in this. Now goodbye." And The grabbed each others arm and kicked me, I fell backwards into a portal.
(Memory Music)
I looked down the Hall of Heroes. I held my Divine Avenger in my right hand and my Argent Peacemaker in my left. I walked slowly down the hall. Bells was at my side. When I reached Barrus he said, "Tech, you have done beyond what anyone has ever done for this Order, and for that I thank you. And goodbye, Vanguard." And multiple Wardens pulled out guns and aimed them at me. I said, "Not going to happen." And multiple orbs of light hit all of the Wardens. I aimed my gun at Barrus, it glowing radiant. I said, "Tell them you shot me after I subdued the Wardens." And I used my abilities to cause the elevator to descend.
When I woke up, I was in the medic's building at Haven. The medic said, "You sure seem battered up. Don't worry, doc's going to take care of you, nothing major, few bruises." I responded, "Where are the others?" "Getting treated, now lie down until I finished my inspection." I minute later the medic came back with a hand-held device. I said, "I don't remember that being here last time I was injured." "Really? It's a new device, it scans armor and knights together, letting me address all of your problems." The green light on the device light up and the medic replied, "You're perfectly healthy. You friends and battle sprites and that caged Wolver are waiting for you in the Hall of Heroes." "Thanks." And ran out of the building.
When I got to the Hall of Heroes I felt like I had seen the scene before. I grabbed for my gun but it wasn't there. I walked up to James a pulled his two Alchemers out of his back pocket. I then shoot two charge shots and knocked out all of the wardens. The white knight from before walked from behind Barrus. He said, "Impressive, Tech. Looks like that memory served you well. Shame that it's not enough to stop me. You see, I'm what's left of your light, all of your goodness and such, and I have a mission for you, kill your shadow within the heart of the Swarm Lairs, then we'll talk about you're reward. Now go." I responded, "Dark Squad, move out." And all of the Squad boarded the elevator and it went down."

Tie up your chapters so that you don't have those awkward .5 segments. It disrupts the reader's enjoyment if your last segment is cut off by another post.
First, thanks for the constructive criticism. Second, the point of the .5 Half Chapters is to show the readers stuff unknown to the characters, sort of a fore-shadow mechanic. I've only written short stories, and this is my first published piece. I might change that in the future. I'm also seeing two - three comments with the same thing over and over again, going to refresh and do some edits.
While I have absolutely no idea what's happening so far besides shooting down stuff on your bike, it's also recommended to do dialogue as though you would do it in a book.
"Blablabla?" said bla.
"Bloobloo," replied bloo.
etc.
Well, this is still emerging, so I'll take your advice. Still thanks for the constructive criticism.
(Any type of battle music)
I was shooting Gremlins left and right. My Argent Peacemaker and Sentenza firing twelve rounds total per clip. But more and more of them filled the ranks of the dead. I then sent out two charge shots, a golden eagle and purple owl destroying a wave. I spotted Bella poisoning some enemies near some healers, and then she burrowed down and popped up by me, giving me some health capsules and vials. I then hear the signal, the charges are set and the bike's got enough energy. I shoot a bullet at a lamppost and then ran backwards. I hopped into a speeder bike and Bella hopped into her side-cart. I looked back and saw a huge chunk of highway fall deep into the clockworks, well, as deep as you get get for tier three. I saw Gremlins menders saving their allies, and even some more working on building a bridge to close the gap, "Man, You steal one bike," I thought.
(Kill music.)
I landed the bike near a empty office building. I started a fire and make camp. Bella hopped out the bike, half asleep. The unique Wolver lied down and I tossed some Chromalisk steak I had make a day ago. I saw a mirror and looked into it, reflecting my thoughts. "Living like this, running and gunning, has taken it's toll. I used to be the Order's best gunner and swords man. I was awarded with these clothes, but they were different then, when I was a silver knight, a true one. But, I failed the order, I failed my cause, I failed my Squad. My Argent Peacemaker, the representation of what I was, and the Sentenza, the representation of my failure. Even my two shields, the Grey Owlite and the Dread Skelly, both represent my honors, and my sins. And Bells, she'll miss me. Shame, that I have to do what I have to do. But, still, could anything have gone different? No, the past is the past, I'll have Bells help me fight my way into the city, across this highway, hopefully my battle sprites will come back tomorrow with good info. But now, I must sleep." And I laid down and fell into a dream.
