I think the forge system is biased

10 max forges on Volcanic Pepperbox
9 max forges on Magma Driver
8 max forges on Hail Driver, including another 10 max forges on Cryo driver
7 max forges on Jalovec, including 4 max forges on Grintovec
6 max forges on Fierce Flamberge
2 max forges on Sunset stetson

Those boxes have stuff like 3-variants ticket so I wouldn't get your hopes up that the chance is higher than 1%. I mean, do you really expect to get a free variant ticket for just heating up your weapon to maximum? Don't think so.

So I'm supposed to max forge a 100 times before I even see one?
And I expect to get one after using some 40+ max forges. Probably.
Though the 100% level up chance is probably good enough for me, anyway.

not sure if I should be taking those number seriously
as it is only 9 level ups from level 1 to 10, and also I do get a few lucky forges where I skip levels, which would make it less than 9.
personally I've done about 30 max forges and nothing yet ( a variety of 3* to 5* items)
and I would only do max forges because the chance to lose crystals is too great of a risk to take.

I got a shining forge prize
I got a shining forge prize box yesterday, I can say that it took a lot of forges. In most forges I just get a level up with no bonus, I usually don't get the heat bonus or double level so it was a nice surprise xD
It would be nice though if some admin/developer can let us know what are the odds

Testing on the preview server we got roughly a 1% drop rate for forge boxes, but that was with a very small sample.

just for statistical purposes:
I've done 20-25 max shining fire crystal forges, 20-24 max radiant fire crystal forges and 8 glowing forges, but so far no prize box. I give ranges because I'm not exactly sure how many double level ups I got.
