3. Yes, you can kill Vanaduke with only swords, including Voltedge/Boltbrand. It helps to be experienced, so that you know exactly how to manage water to put out fireballs. You might be able to find a video on YouTube.

2. Why did my boltbrand's explosiaon can't reach vanaduke?
1. No, because it's stuck on the game when you record.
2. Probably either:
-A Shadow Fire Tile dropped and blocked the explosion.
-Vana dashed away.
-Fireballs can[I think] shield him.
A tip for vanaduke - Although it might be boring to some players, using charge attacks of blitz/strike needle is probably the best way to take him down. Especially when he's surrounded by fireballs and you can't get close to him without being toasted (unless you throw water at them) You can go to the wiki page of blitz needle and see the potential damage of the charge attack (when it's in max level) It's also a good way for taking down trojans, if you can land a charge on their back it will kill them most of the times (or leave them with a really small amount of health)
