Anyone else not really feeling Angelic Aura? I just got it recently and tried it out; thought "hmm, pretty nice. No damage at all". So I throw in some skill points I was saving and max it out, use it again. I uh....wasn't really sure it had changed at all.

Now maybe its cause shes still in the 50s, maybe it gets better with the ultimate, but is Angelic Aura really just a 5-second shield that covers so little room? I'll be honest, I came into this thinking it was gonna be Lockdown-Guardian sized. Maybe at least at max level. Now maybe that was a bit much to hope for but...really?
As is, people practically have to stand right next to you to get any of the effect which means no attacking unless you're standing up on an enemy too. And of course 5 seconds later -poof-, all gone. Enjoy that beating you're gonna take because you thought you had a moment to Rambo in.

Now maybe its more in the use. Maybe its better used for saving that ally thats about to get smashed by Vana's hammer, or getting yourself out of a crowd of baddies unscathed, but is that really a good intention? What if you can't manage ninja-saves or find shield bumping out of crowds more useful, if not just NOT running smack-dab into trouble? I really only find myself using it to walk over traps to collect loot without having to wait, cursed by impatience as I am.

Maybe I just need to improve with it, but is a buff so out of the question? Maybe max 15-20 sec or so duration, knock the size up by 1.5 maybe, buff the HP to match.

Iunno...something....

The duration upgrades are broken, but once you get an ultimate it extends to 8 seconds as it should be.

The trick to using the aura to go berserk on menders is similar to using an Ubercharge in Team Fortress 2: start making your escape BEFORE it ends so you don't get pasted immediately after it wears off. It's also good for covering the party during arena turret hell, rushing Devilites, getting off free shield bashes, eating rockets and howlitzer heads, etc. You can do a lot with eight seconds of invulnerability if you're creative. My only complaint is how quickly it breaks against attacks that hit multiple players (lumbers and Big Iron's tentacles and rotating bars being the big examples.)

I think the aura could use a slight buff, but it does have it's uses. I mainly use it as a temporary shield when my main one is busted. I also use it when taking on turrets, so I can attack them without worrying. it's not that useful for protecting your team because the shield breaks when it takes enough damage, and if you are protecting yourself AND your teammate, it's not gonna last long at all
