I'm not saying suggestions are bad, but everytime someone suggests to make monstors harder or add more monstors. I usually see that the people who post harder monstors or more content are the usualy endgame people. They can dodge every single attack, knows monstor spawns, have a lot of 5*, play LD, and rarely die in PvE. The main thing I want to say is, at this point you basically got everything the game has to offer. Then someone says "But I don't want to leave and want more content." Games don't last forever, if you decided to get bored then leave. Play other games or take a break from SK. I still have fun in this game and love more updates, but I feel like people sometimes suggest more content not because it makes the game better for everyone else but for their own selfish reasons.Just my opinion on these suggestions lately.

Indeed we do/are. I take breaks from the game, around several months or so. I wasn't planning on coming back to the game from my latest break, but I did, and it's because of the update. Most of the players continue to play the game, they don't take breaks, logging on a few times a week or more for the past year or 2. They've spent too much tine with Spiral Knights, and so yeah, it's pretty much been nothing but trouble with these endgame players. Critics, critics, and critics!

Hm.

I think people just needs to have some more patience. Most of the suggestions on these start by blabbing on about how elite difficulty only raises enemy HP and damage and stuff when OOO clearly stated that it was only the initial release of elite mode and will get harder (including new things being added to it) as updates come by. Either that, or they didn't read carefully with the update notes.

What's funny is that if the new elite mode will be like old SK from 2011, with those complex, unpredictable AI performance, how much you wanna bet peeps are going to start complaining about how difficult it is, it's not worth it, and loot/drops should increase? Half of them won't even be able to handle the new elite mode, a big majority, I bet. Your skills are matched by the number of repetitiveness you've done in the game. There are few players who aren't like that, and they are purely truly skilled, having excellent fine motor skills. The new elite mode is going to be dead content; I can feel it...

Nice

I haven't seen the new update for myself yet, but I know that it was a HUGE change, probably for the better. Still, I have played this game since its launch, I've sunk in my fair share of money, and I'm pretty much one of those end game people. OOO needs to work their butts off if they want to save the game. End game players suggest and suggest because they know what they want. It's up to OOO if they are to deliver.

The problem with this is that if you actually go through the game completely F2P, which is now possible and easier than it was before, you get that level of skill before you've broken the 5* HoH wall. If the game's progression was actually structured in a way to not hold back players artificially with the forge and stuff like it, and players were actually challenged and forced to learn actual skills, the game would attract a more dedicated playerbase more willing to pay for whatever OOO puts out.

That's why I suggest harder content... also I'm bored. :3

I agree with Klipik-Forum.

I agree with Klipik-Forum. The only thing that we should ever pay money to would be for appearance; costumes; affecting the gameplay of the game only complicates things with the playerbase; eventually driving people away out of frustration.

Are people really leaving the game because of this forge business?

EDIT: (wrong thread i think lol)

Harder content

The thing about asking for harder content is I doubt it will ever happen. Ever sense the steam days they have constantly nerphed EVERYTHING. From when I started playing (which is forever ago) the only things they did to make the game harder was add spikes to jellies and make wolvers deal piercing instead of just normal damage. The list of things they watered down is

Zombies: all of their everything
Phantoms: lower hp, longer respawn
Devilites: dodging, missile tracking
Greavers: status cloud
Retrodes: their arm swing
Gremlin healers: both their attacks
Wolvers: their OMG MY FACE IS MISSING teleport
Other stuff I don't remember off the top of my head: lots probably

I would be happy if they brought the game back up to the difficulty mobs had when I started.

I've played with people who just stand there and take it deep! Like, they just literally, not figuratively, but they literally just stand and don't shield or move when a gun puppy bullet is heading their way. They're just like *pew pew pew* with their guns. And let's bring up that topic about the Azure Guardian players in FSC. Those cobalt knights come with full cobalt gear; a bloody blast bomb, that knockback blaster gun, and their super annoying leviathan; charge attack spamming on my arse; flying zombies and jellies everywhere, flinging them all around the room. They pop 10+ revives on every depth in FSC; 20 on boss fight.

IMO

In my opinion, some nerfs were justified and some weren't. The nerf to zombies, wolvers and retrodes was a very hard, and rather unjustified nerf. Sure, the close combat swipe on the retrodes and zombies, was rather annoying, and honestly needed to be a bit more forgiving, was turned into complete trash. They severely reduced the area that it hit and it felt like they made it execute 3 times slower. Retrode explosions also commenced immediately, which needed a bit of a nerf.

That, however, was not the thing which made these enemies ridiculously easy.

Along with the slow startup times of all their attacks, they removed tracking. This means that they don't focus their attacks on you, but where you were 2 seconds ago. Alpha wolvers went from a fearsome enemy to cannon fodder. If you make almost any effort to move away from a wolver that is trying to bite you, you won't take damage. And don't start spewing s*** about connection, I've lived with a horrible one for the entire span of this game.

Now this game isn't completely easy. Fiends provide quite a challenge. Greavers used to be impossible; they sped up to you and they just kept pinging your shield till it broke. Their nerf was justified. All others were not.
