Hello everyone!

I haven't really played in a while, but I'm curious to try out the sprites and such.

I took a look at other pet threads, but I couldn't get a clear answer since they all seemed useful.

My question is, what high level pet works best for experienced players?
For example, the best pet for danger missions solo on elite.

Darkon:
- Does he really do much damage?
- Is the fireshield useful?
- Is a combuster more useful if I want to set things on fire?

Seraphynx:
- Are hearts really that useful compared to other sprite's skills?

Maskeraith:
- Is stealth useful? Wouldn't I rather the angelic aura for sticky situations?

I am torn between Seraphynx and Maskeraith, but it would be nice to get some other people's input.

Thanks,
Sypsy

If you're in T3, keep in mind Drakon won't be useful until you grind it up to level 50. Its abilities revolve around dealing damage, and until it hits 4* the damage it does in T3 is negligible.

As for Shadow Cloak vs Angelic Aura, they're both very strong abilities. The cloak is better for retreating and repositioning due to its longer duration and the fact that most enemies will stop tracking you once it's up, whereas Angelic Aura works both as a panic button and a tool that allows you to be more aggressive. You also get Shadow Cloak much sooner than Angelic Aura (level 15 vs 50), which might be important if you don't have the raw materials or money to upgrade it quickly.

Heart Attack doesn't have a huge effect on individual enemies, but when fully upgraded hits an area roughly the size of a 5* haze bomb, so it becomes very noticable when you use it on a large crowd. It's great against the Bombies in Legion of Almire and Ghosts in the Machine if you tag them with it.

for endgame players, avoid drakon. damage is too low for now, fireshield is useful only if you stand in the middle of a group of enemies, and is you want to deal damage AND have a chance to set enemies on fire, take a coubuster.

seraph's heart attack is really useful, especially in parties. ray of light is an excellent crowd control tool. the shield is short on duration, but very high in health.

maskeraith is the most useful by now. deals more damage and poison with the first skill, stealth is great if you still have a chance to escape, and even in the case you don't you have a defensive buff. haze is good to weaken a large group of enemies, or to finish them off.

In Elite mode, having Heart Attack is very useful indeed.

For the first two skills of each Sprite, I'll say this:

-Drakon is quite offensive. It's good for people who just want to do a bit extra damage - its secondary is a turret killer, and both skills have a relatively short cooldown - this is very useful for someone who's rushing. Fireball breaks blocks. Useless against Fiends.

-Seraphynx allows for defensive play. Ray of Light can be used as a slightly damaging barrier to enemies if used in chokepoints, and the secondary helps both you and your party regain health relatively easily - it's a much, MUCH better defensive tool than Drakon's Flame Barrier. Its primary is also the best for a bomber - the ray breaks blocks and minerals the fastest of the three pets. No Shadow damage harness means that it's not fantastic for any T2 bosses, but it's passable.

-Maskeraith is quite a good supporting Sprite. Its primary, while not breaking blocks, allows you to drastically increase the DPS of your party if used well. The secondary is useful for if you just don't want stuff going for you, and for the all-important chatting to friends. Lack of an Elemental harness puts a kink in end-game usefulness.

@Raisin

Dont forget hexing haze on masky, really useful for weakening/killing weakened enemies.

Toooo lateee

I know I would enjoy using the cloak, but the idea of stopping and not attacking for a while is definitely not my play style, so that was my consideration.
Elemental damage was also a plus.

You don't have to use the cloak. I just spin and dance, hexing things, completely forgetting I could charge a bomb while doing so.
