* In head phases the flame is always blue so it is impossible to tell whether or not you can attack or throw water at it.
* In phase 3 and 5 flame souls (red balls surround him) cannot be put out with water
Vanaduke Bugs (since new patch)
If I may corroborate your findings, I also downed vanaduke post patch and found these problems.
While the latter problem involving the fireballs might be sneaked in as a difficulty adjustment (not that it really needed it), the former mask status color issue is definitely a bug and should be addressed.
Regarding the persistent flame souls as a difficulty adjustment, if this is the case I think t is a really bad idea. The boss fight in its entirety is already gun centric and with the bug, phase 3 and phase 5 are essentially GUN only. Before you could put out all 4 flame souls in phase 3 and use swords. Now not only can you not use swords outside of P1/P2/P4 but you can no longer use bombs in P5 either because of the outer perimeter flame souls. Really bad adjustment if it was done on purpose IMO.
I would seriously like three rings to respond on this matter if these changes are intended. The red projectiles and orbs in phase 2 and 4 completely block water globules without being destroyed, in addition to the red orbs in phase 3 and 5 being completely indestructible. The fight has gone from very difficult to preposterous. The rewards are trash and killing Vanaduke at this point is just a waste of energy.
I want a response too. We spent a lot of energy trying to kill him yesterday.
Somebody in main forum said that the fireballs are being put out just not being shown visually. This doesn't really help for phase 5 though lol
I agree with this, just went on 2 runs to vanaduke and experienced the same thing, red balls never go away and the mask doesnt turn red afer being hit by a waterball.
