Character Transfer?

When we started playing SK a year or 2 ago, me and my bro put our characters on the same account, not really thinking one day we would have access to 2 computers and yet unable to play simultaneously. Is there any way to transfer the character besides simply unbinding everything off one character and transferring it to a new account? Is there some transfer character or split account feature? Would converting the account Steam help in any way? Is there some way to have two computers logged into the same account?

Also, in regards to unbinding: it is cheaper to buy a new piece from the supply depot than to unbind the one i already have and then transfer it. Is there any reason to unbind my equipment?

Thanks in advance!

You'd have better luck contacting support@spiralknights.com (with mail, obviously). You could also read up on your rights somewhere here: http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Terms_of_service

I don't know of any way to

I don't know of any way to split those knights into separate accounts. I also know nothing about Steam. You should contact technical support, who might be able to help. But keep in mind that your original sharing of the account probably violated the Terms of Service.

I don't know about two computers logged in on the same account. But can't you just try it?

5-star items cost 3,500 energy at the Supply Depot, and 4,000 energy to unbind at Vise. You can look up the prices for other star-levels on the wiki, and figure out what your best option is. Keep in mind that your recipes, prestige, rank, achievements, etc. will not transfer over.

Unbinding keeps UVs, that the only purpose for it (on non-exclusive gear). Remember supply depot doesn't have all the equipment.

I believe that if you log on to an account that is logged on, your account will be unlogged off of the first client, and relogged on to the 2nd client, as if you'd disconnected. I know this because I have 2 clients installed and did it. Several times.

Why do I have 2 clients installed? Because I'm crazy.

Just to follow up on this for

Just to follow up on this for anyone curious. I contacted the support team and they got it transferred no problem. This was due to the fact that sharing an account is against the Terms of Service. Nevertheless, my thanks to Hyperion and Aphrodite (and anyone else who helped) for straightening it out.

On a similar subject...

Sorry for another account mishap, but I need help. My brother stupidly decided to transfer out non-steam account over onto his steam account. Now I have to log into HIS steam to play on MY character. Would the same thing have to happen as it did to Greenheath? Or would I have to confer with Steam on that one?

You are experiencing a-wait, what?

When was it against the ToS to share accounts? Why else have several knights? What's going on here? Before, when mist was shared, it was fine. Yes, I've previously read the ToS all the way through. Twice. I don't share my account, but still...

always

It has always been against the Terms of Service to share accounts --- at least, as long as I can remember:

Account Security
Keep your account safe! - No one except you should ever know your password or have access to your account. It is forbidden to share passwords or accounts, grant someone else access to your account or access another knight's account. You are responsible for the security of your account data and are likewise responsible for everything that happens on your account, including rule violations of any sort. You can find more information on how to protect your account in this article about account security.

Oh, I'm surprised they did it. Most of the time they tell you no way to things. Good job.

Armorgames, Steam, Aeria

Armorgames, Steam, Aeria Games, SpiralKnights.com; nowadays, people could just hit up these websites to play Spiral Knights. One baby brother can play from SpiralKnights.com directly, and the other brother can play from Armorgames or Steam. Would that work? Or do you still need to have one payed account in order to play the game on different accounts from the same computer?
