I don't know if this is true but aparently you have to down somthing to get the next version of Spiral Knights! I am confused

When you download the game for the first time, it only downloads the first mission. This saves lots of time and let's you try the game.
After beating it yes, the whole game starts downloading.
I think that's the issue here.
Do you mean that you have to download something?
You certainly have to download the game --- either in your browser, or stand-alone, or through Steam, ...
If you are using a Mac with a recent version of Mac OS X, then you may have to download an older version of Java as well.
Other than those, I can't imagine what you might mean. Good luck.
