when I try to open it, it shows loading window like normal, and when it's finished loading, screen turns black for a few seconds (I have it set on fullscreen) And when the screen lights up again, it shows the desktop. Doesn't even open another window. It could just be my computer, but I don't think so. If anybody else happens to have Windows 8.1 preview, please test. Thanks!
More info on your computer setup would probably help, like processor, graphics etc. Also you might want to share if you're using steam or other version of the game, as well as post the startup log if you have a downloaded version of the game (should be somewhere in the game folder, i know there is one for steam version, probably also exists for other versions).
Also notice that the website of the game doesn't mention the game is designed to run on windows 8...
