Now that I'm playing these for the first time, there are some annoyances coming up to me..

1. The map is often huge. It's not a bad thing, except that making a wrong turn can make you walk back very, very far. I would really love it if there was some sign pointing out where the elevator is, and where treasure lies.

2. Zombies. There are too many of them in my opinion. This goes for Wolver Den's too I believe. Having a level stuffed up with 1 type of monster is plainly annoying?

3. Zombies, again. I think they spawn too slow. I think it would be better if they popped up before you walked all over their graves.

Any opinions?

Noooo!

I think this is the first time I disagree with you =/

I love Graveyard levels. You can make BILLIONS of zombies spawn at once for some highly amusing action by simply trampling all over their graves...
or you can have a break of some kind by taking pulls of 2 or less at a time.

I love that the map is huge too, it makes exploration seem more realistic especially since there aren't that many of these levels, so it's a welcome gimmick, to me anyway.

Wolvar's Den though. Sheesh. I'll admit that one gets a little boring, but a nice map.

I think that if you stand on

I think that if you stand on a grave while a Skeleton pops up, it should grab your ankles so others can damage you instead of spawning to the side of you.

But I do agree that they are quite large. There are also some nice little secrets in Graveyards if you check your map frequently enough.

All that said, it is a Graveyard. If any other monsters starting jumping out it'd have to be a Pet Cemetery, instead.

There just seem to be far too

There just seem to be far too many places featuring skellies at the moment, as opposed to any other monster. And skellies aren't exactly a threat on their own; they need other monsters to keep you distracted.

Hopefully graveyards won't seem so bad when we get some more level types. (Or some new monsters!)

Well yea I like them for one

Well yea I like them for one time perhaps, but doing a few of them in a row really takes the edge off quickly. Especially taking wrong turns is what annoyed me most here.

maximap?

An option to expand the minimap to maxi would help you here, Evolution? :P

I like the graveyard levels. What Shoebox said.

And a few of any level in a row gets boring. Except arenas, those I can do over and over and over. :P

The dead have no use for their riches.

I'd be appreciating these single-enemy-type dungeons a bit more if I were you, they're an absolute godsend in some of the depths below Emberlight compared to stages like the Arena and Jigsaw Valley: Emerald Axis.

Also, a crap-ton of Skellies means a crap-ton of Crowns. Best way to get rich quick other than the Arena, I think.

I do agree with the Maximap function though.

full graveyard spawns

i love the idea of graveyards, and would simply love the idea of getting to a huge graveyard room, that not spawn anything until all the members enter the room, and them, the room closes, and a massive spawn of skellys begin. Also, to maintain the feeling, the number of monster would be constant until the final (every time a skelly falls, another spawns).

also, that's the point of temathic dungeons: have one kind of monster, at most 2. But i would like to see more than one kind of skelly at the same graveyard, like lava and armored ones, with a lot of normal ones.

and i never ever had a problem with wolvers den, in my life...i still don't understand why people complain about wolvers that much.

SL, why would they be an

SL, why would they be an absolute godsend? They're monotonous and easy. As a first time doing it I must say it looked very exciting, after a while though it seemed to have lost its shinyness for me. I like variety. Variety means a change in strategy very often. It means you need to actively interact with what's coming at you. That's what I find entertaining.

Graveyards are ultimately

Graveyards are ultimately intended to be a 'whammie' as an opposite to the treasure vaults. We will be added a few things in the future that makes them much more exciting and dangerous.

Because Firestorm Citadel is hard.

>"SL, why would they be an absolute godsend?"

Here's an example: for someone like me who usually goes down Amber Falcon and sees nothing but Arenas on the way, one of those thematic stages is variety. Plus, let's say you're trying to conserve your energy, sets of 3 HP Pills and Vials before you reach Firestorm Citadel. They're easy enough for you to do this, as opposed to Arenas where you're usually stuck with a party that insists on doing that third room. And then you have nothing left for the hardest string of dungeons in the game to date.

That's just my take on it. Maybe I'll change my tune when we have an Arena-filled gate that goes below Emberlight without the Citadel again, but for now that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

That aside, I'm also looking forward to what changes there are. Treasure Vault substitutes are still Treasure Vaults to me.

From your description I can

From your description I can derive that nearly any level that isn't an arena is godsend to you?

Not every level, but it does

Not every level, but it does wear on me when I'm coaked into doing the third room and have to spend energy -- which I should be saving for Firestorm Citadel -- due to that multiple Darkfang Mender crap.

...And this is turning into Darkfang Mender-hate drabble, so I'll just stop there. There's enough threads on that already.

I stand by my original opinion about Graveyards yielding riches though. I don't mind Arenas, but I like going somewhere else once in a while, even if it only contains one enemy type. Try to imagine if Spiral Knights was nothing but Arenas and you'll understand.
