I was in spiral knights when i had the idea of duel wealding.its simple, you are able to take off your sheild and in return you are able to put a wepon in the sheilds place. Its a simple sacrifice to have less armor but be able to do twice the damage.ther would be some rules like you cant do it with heavy swords and you can only duel weald if the wepons are the same speed.but think about how awsome it would be to dive into a gravyard with 2 peacemakers in your hands XD.

you can combine the two bombs

you can combine the two bombs in both hands to make a bigger explosion. About the OP part, how about soloing elite missions, plus, being vulnerable to damage in trade for more power. plus, in LD, it shouldn't be part of the rules considering you're already holding something. I'm thinking more missions harder then Vana, The Gauntlet, etc. so the dual wielding would come in handy. (There should be missions on the moon of Cradle.)

Not too OP

Brandishes would be considered 2 hand weapons, as of the polaris. And do you know exactly how much damage the shield takes instead of you? Owch, that "OPness" would quickly dissolve after being shot twice by a gun puppy.
